2. I used the rectangle frame tool to create the
background on the second page of my DPS. The
colour I filled the box in is a light grey sort of colour
which Is similar to the colour I used for the contents
page which allows other colours which Is going to
be used on the page to cooperate successfully
The black box on this page is going to be where the
subhead and byline will sit on. To make the second
page looked more organised, a thin white stroke has
been added around the box
3. I inserted margins & columns so I
could neatly layout my three
columns on the second page of
the DPS. The three columns are
going to contain the interview of
the rapper and the text would
not come off the box which will
keep the presentation neat and
orderly for the reader to feel
appealed. The first column on
the first page would be used for
the folio which will sit at the
bottom of the page, and the
second and the third column of
the first page would be where
the pull-out quote will sit.
4. I decided to change the background colour of the
DPS to black which will mean that I would be using
white for the text colour. I done this since I thought
that the greyish colour did not work well with the
black box which was going to include the subhead
and the byline.
The white box at the top of the page is
where the subhead is going to be. The
subhead would have to be in bold white font
style or a black text with a white stroke
which is 3.521cm long
5. • The subhead consists of a
pull-out quote instead of a
short summary of what the
article is going to be about.
The font type is “arial
unicode” so it could be
seen easily by the reader as
The byline reveals who
the article is based on
is appropriate to the hip-
and who it was made
hop genre as the reader
by. In this case the would be able to see that
byline notifies the the level of content is quite
reader that an interview serious and suitable for
would be in the article. there age.
The font style is “times
new roman” as it is
basic and doesn’t really
need to be noticeable
hence the font size
6. The article has been fitted into the
three columns on the second page.
The questions are written orange and
the answers in white so the reader
would know he is speaking during the
interview. The font size is 14pt which
was the maximum font I was going to
make my text be. The font type is arial
unicode which is the same font I used
to create my subhead.
7. This is the completion of my double-page spread. The first page includes a
page number, the main image and the title. I intended to make the title
sit on the main image but this never happened as the person in the main
image would be blocked. A pull-out quote was supposed to sit on the
main image but this never happened as the subheading was a pull-out
quote itself. The photo credit is also seen on the bottom right of the first
page.
