Hello! Thank you for allowing me to speak to you today. I am ….
Innovate on newer models of care:
This is an ongoing journey.
For example, we are seeing push towards Preventive rather than Curative. Wellness rather than Healthcare etc.
Increase Accessibility:
While on one hand, there is an attempt to add more resources, there is also a need to maximize output from existing resources.
Even in the limited resources, there is a further Urban-Rural divide. While it’s a challenge, it’s also an opportunity for Providers to spread geographically and for Solutions like Tele-Medicine. Governments are already reconciling that making doctors undertake rural assignments is a challenge and Remote Health may be a better alternative.
Democratization of Health services and making it more easy to find and consume is already spurring new solutions in Healthcare. For example, Practo.
Improve Patient Experiences:
Even in a country like India where demand far outstrips supply, we are seeing Health Providers move forward in this direction. Online Appointments, Patient Portals, Mobile Apps, Tele-Health, Social Analytics can hugely transform the Digital Experience of a Patient. This in turn can lead to better efficiencies and clinical excellence.
Improve Health Outcomes:
There should be an increased focus on clinical excellence and health outcomes, and having digitized data can hugely help achieve that. Analytics & Machine learning based solutions are starting to do just this.
