A game engineer is a software engineer, programmer, or computer scientist who primarily develops codebase for video games (Means whole collection of source codes used to build a particular application) or related software, such as game development tools. (Like 3D game engine) Game engineering has many specialized skills all of which fall under the term of "game engineer" .A game engineer should not be confused with a game designer, who works on game design. (Will work on the game story line, names of the characters…etc)

The technology required for this career is very important. You will need the latest versions of 3D modeling with C++ and java installed on it and any other software or program then need. (Varied on the type of games they make). You will also need high tech computers to test the finished product and look for any glitches or errors that need to be fixed. They often use gaming computers like Alien-ware with over a terabyte of memory. (I could not find any examples of the software they use because some companies like to keep it secret and stuff.)

Education A college education fine-tunes the game designer's artistic skills and techniques. Video game companies require a bachelor's degree in design or other related field If you’re interested in programming games, you’ll want to look for a computer science/programming degree that focuses on creating interactive programs (most commonly in C or C++) ( Collage)
