Exhibitor Setup

The Chamber staff and volunteers will be excitedly awaiting your arrival at the
registration table next to the loading docks at the Gwinnett Center. Please check-in
upon arrival, and ONLY enter at the loading docks. You may drop off door prizes and
pick up drink tickets for the Business After Hours at this time as well. Onsite signage
will be provided for guidance, and you can find a detailed map of the facility on page
10.
General Membership Meeting
11:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Vendors are strongly encouraged and requested to leave their display open through the
duration of the Business After Hours.

DAY-OF INFORMATION
Arrival
• Setup will begin at 9 a.m. on August 20. The Expo & Job Fair begin at 1 p.m.; please use
your best judgment and allocate enough time to have your booth properly set-up and
ready by the time the doors open at 1:00 p.m.
• We want to know you arrived! There will be a check-in area near the docks on both the
exhibitor and job fair sides. Please visit us and pick-up all of your information, including
location of your booth, upon arrival.
• Unloading must be done at the loading docks in the back of the Gwinnett Center. A map
is included on page 10.
• There will be two available loading docks for Expo exhibitors and one loading dock for
Job Fair exhibitors. Please read the signs to make sure you are in the correct area.
• We have allotted a maximum of ten minutes for each exhibitor to unload at the docks.
Over 150 of your closest friends will also need to unload; please be a courteous exhibitor
and try your best to adhere to this timeframe.
• Limited dollies are available and are always in high demand. Please bring carts, dollies
and staff to assist in set-up.
• One parking spot per exhibitor will be available in the back of the Gwinnett Center.
Once full, exhibitors will need to park their vehicles in the front of the Gwinnett Center.
Departure
• Vendors are strongly encouraged and requested to leave their display open through the
duration of the Business After Hours (5-7 p.m.). In the event that you absolutely must
be home in time for dinner, move out can begin at 5 p.m. and must be completed by 9
p.m.
• The above arrival logistics are applicable for break down as well.
Concessions
• To accommodate setup, concessions will open at 9 a.m. this year and run until 5 p.m.
Giveaways
• Door prizes are requested from vendors to add to the attendee experience and maximize
your exposure. Please describe gift in detail and instructions on how to redeem.
Additional requirements are: minimum of $25 value, no purchase necessary with a one
year expiration date. Please drop off your giveaway at the exhibitor check in sites inside
the doors near the loading docks.

Q: How is the Expo & Job Fair set-up?
A: The Gwinnett Chamber Business Expo & Job Fair is ONE event in TWO separate show halls.
Exhibitors on the Expo side are showcasing their product and/or service. Exhibitors on the Job
Fair side are actively hiring. Soliciting employment and distributing resumes at the Expo is
strictly forbidden.
Q: How much does it cost to attend the event?
A: It’s absolutely FREE to attend the Business Expo & Job Fair, as well as the educational
seminars.
Q: What is considered appropriate attire for the Expo & Job Fair?
A: Business professional
Q: Should I bring a résumé if I plan on attending the Job Fair?
A: Yes! Bring multiple copies. But don’t bring them to the Expo.
Q: Can I attend all the business seminars offered throughout the day?
A: Yes! Please attend all the seminars you would like; they are complimentary. Take advantage
of our experts speaking on a variety of different topics.

THE FINE PRINT Rules, Regulations & Specifications
Exhibit space will be allocated by the Chamber on a first-come, first-served basis. The Chamber’s decision of the
suitability and layout is final.
Compliance with all local, federal and state laws, ordinances and regulations are required of the exhibitor as is obtaining
proper licenses, bonds & insurance as required, together with the rules and regulations of the City of Duluth, Gwinnett
Center, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Gwinnett County and their agents, employees and servants.
Decorations such as adhesive-backed decals and stickers may not be given out inside the facility or on the property.
Glitter and confetti are not permitted in the Gwinnett Center or on the property. Decorations may not be fastened to
the ceilings, painted surfaces, columns, or fabric and decorative walls in such a manner as to damage those surfaces.
Hooks will be provided by Cherry Convention Services.
Balloons may not be given out to attendees on Gwinnett Center property. Balloons may be permanently attached to and
removed from displays by Gwinnett Center Staff.
Decorum must be maintained for the benefit of all exhibitors. Sound equipment, sound-making devices or lighting devices
which are objectionable and can be heard or seen outside your exhibit table will not be permitted.
Escalators and Passenger Elevators are for use by the general public, may not be blocked and are not to be used to
transport equipment or freight. Freight elevators are to be used for all freight and equipment movement.
Shipping and receiving must abide by the allocations attached.
Distribution of literature or exhibits outside of the 10x10 space in not permitted.
Prepackaged, purchased food is allowed to be given away as an incentive (candy, chips etc.). Beverage distribution is
not allowed. Restaurants who are interested in serving food, contact the show manager for specific details.
Protection of the Building: exhibitors are liable for any damages they cause to the Gwinnett Center property.
There must be no blocking of the fire exits and/or hoses. It is the responsibility of the exhibitors to ensure that their
space does not constitute a fire or safety hazard. No propane will be permitted. The use of sterno, helium or cooking
devices must have approval.
Security will be provided by the Chamber throughout the hours of the installation, and the dismantling period and
exercise reasonable care of the protection of the exhibitor’s material and displays. Beyond this, City of Duluth, the
Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, the Gwinnett Center, Gwinnett County and other sponsors, members of the Business
Expo & Job Fair nor its agents, employees or servants will not be responsible for the safety of property or the exhibitor,
his agents, or employees. Please have your booth staffed at all times and obtain an insurance binder on your equipment
if not already covered in your policy.
General: the Gwinnett Chamber reserves the right to refuse to admit and to remove from the area any objectionable or
undesirable person or persons. The furnishing of security by the Chamber shall not be construed to be any assumption
of obligation or duty by the Chamber with respect to the protection of the property or personnel of exhibitors. All of
exhibitor’s property shall at all times remain in the sole possession and custody of each exhibitor and shall be the sole
responsibility of the exhibitor. The exhibitor agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this contract as well as
rules and regulations set forth by the Chamber in connection with the participation in the Business Expo & Job Fair by
the exhibitor, its agents, employees, servants or third parties.
Insurance is to be provided by the exhibitor with all policy riders to cover all exhibit contents.
Liability: Exhibitor understands and agrees that the City of Duluth, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, the Gwinnett
Center, Gwinnett County and other sponsors, members of the Business Expo & Job Fair nor its agents, employees or
servants will be liable for any loss or damage to the property of exhibitors or their employees due to fire, theft, accidents
or any cause whatsoever that may arise from the use and occupancy of the provided space or building. The exhibitor
agrees to identify and hold harmless City of Duluth, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, the Gwinnett Center, Gwinnett
County and other sponsors, members of the Business Expo & Job Fair. The Chamber shall not be responsible for damage
to the exhibitor’s business or for any other losses incurred in the event that the Chamber is unable to provide exhibit
space or to hold the event as scheduled. At the end of the event, the exhibitor shall surrender the exhibit space to the
Chamber, in as good repair and condition as the commencement of exhibitor’s use of the space.
Limitation of Liability: The failure of the Chamber to any extent to provide services and facilities for such service, or the
interruption or termination of any service in whole or in part, shall not render the Chamber liable in any respect nor be
construed as an eviction of exhibitor from the obligation to fulfill any covenant or an agreement hereof. Should any of
the equipment or machinery used in provision of such services for any cause cease to function properly, exhibitor shall
have no claim for offset or abatement of rental payments or damages on account or an interruption in service resulting
there from.
Miscellaneous: events or circumstances not covered in these operation policies and procedures may be subject to special
consideration and stipulations deemed appropriate by the Gwinnett Center and the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.
Contract is valid and binding one returned to Chamber staff. Contract submitted online is considered binding with typed
signature.
