"It's difficult to find time to sort,
organize and manage these
possessions… Thus, our excess
becomes a visible sign of
unaccomplished work that
constantly challenges our deeply
ingrained notions of tidy homes
and elicits substantial stress."
29. M E I S T E R E C K H A R T
"God is not found in the soul by
adding anything but by a process
of subtraction."

• Crisis events
• Needy people
• Fatigue
31. PAT R I C K L E N C I O N I
Adding up all of the time that these meetings require
amounts to approximately twenty percent of a
leader's time.
!
If you think about it, a leader who hates meetings is a
lot like a symphony conductor who hates concerts.
Meetings are what leaders do, and the solution to bad
meetings is not the elimination of them, but rather the
transformation of them.
32. I N T E R R U P T I O N S
• Be interruptible (Jesus certainly
was!)
• Use 6:00am-7:00am

“Surround yourself with enough positive
people so you can keep your energy level
up. And, you want to have this same kind
of effect on others. Sometimes, you just
have to tell people the truth. Not only for
your sake, but for theirs.
35. FAT I G U E
