Themes Love’s Difficulty “ The course of true love never did run smooth,” says Lysander, talking about one of A Midsummer Night’s Dream ’s most important themes, which is the difficulty of love. Though most of the conflict in the play begins from the troubles of romance, and though the play involves a number of romantic elements, it is not truly a love story. it separates the audience from the emotions of the characters in order to make fun at the torments who those in love suffer. Magic The fairies’ magic, which brings about many of the weirdest and most hilarious situations in the play, is another element main to the fantastic atmosphere of A Midsummer Night’s Dream . Shakespeare uses magic both to explain the supernatural power of love. Dreams As the title suggests, dreams are an important theme in A Midsummer Night’s Dream; they are conected to the strange, magical situations in the forest. Hippolyta’s first words in the play put in evidence the existance of dreams.
Conclusion The climax of the play comes in Act III, Scene 2, when the four lovers are at the height of their confusion.  Both Demetrius and Lysander are pursuing Helena, and both Helena and Hermia are amazed at this.  The guys go off to find a place to fight, and Hermia threatens Helena with a physical fight as well.  They all run off and Puck and Oberon are left to lead them into the right areas to trick them.  These actions end in IV, scene 1 when Theseus and the other Athenians find the lovers in the forest and the triple marriage is set.  My opinion is based on what I think was the main thing that hapenned between the four lovers. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies. It is not limited to one single comedy and mixes several dimensions, like romance, drama, magic, and comedy. That is what makes it interesting. It is also more than a comedy in the sense that it could have become a tragedy (another end). This play crosses the boundary line between reality and imagination.
