Tekeyan Annual Banquet Successfully Sails Around the Mediterranean

DETROIT — On Saturday, Janua-
ry 26, the Metro-Detroit chapter of the
Tekeyan Cultural Association hosted
an annual party to raise funds for the
two major projects: “The Sponsor a
Teacher Program” and “The Orphans
Higher Education Fund.” Approxi-
mately 200 guests filled the St. John’s
banquet to celebrate another year of
the Tekeyan Cultural Association’s
activities.
Doors opened at 7:30 p.m., but
guests filled the St. John’s lobby much
earlier. Guests’ anticipations were high
as they were eager to enjoy another
year of dinner, dancing and interna-
tional music by the Harry Hovakimian
Ensemble.
