Mobile Enterprise Server Company Targeting Enterprise Market
Atlanta, GA March 17, 1999
Eba Systems, Inc., the mobile enterprise server company, today announced the acceptance of $1.2M in seed
funding commitments from Labrador Ventures of Redwood City, CA. in collaboration with Arete Ventures and
Cordova Ventures of Atlanta, GA. Stuart Davidson, Managing Director of Labrador and Nelson Chu, Senior
Associate of Arete will both serve on the company's Board of Directors.
The mobile enterprise server market addresses the deployment of corporate applications on palmtop, wireless
and mobile devices over the Intranet or Internet. Eba Systems is the first software and services company
committed to delivering and managing the online workflow between heterogeneous applications for mobile
platforms.
"Eba has created a distinctive approach to mobile computing that we've not seen in the marketplace," remarked
Davidson. "Eba's design for online mobile workflow, support for wireless communications, as well as cross-
application capability uniquely positions company to help organizations deploy sales force, customer service and
other applications to small cost-effective devices".
"A new category of software application is required that allows mobile computing users to access multiple
corporate applications without rewriting front-ends, just as webservers empowered PC's to access heterogeneous
data sources," said Tim Jones, Eba Systems President. "Eba has attracted a worldclass team to address this
opportunity in mobile computing."
According to the Red Herring, two of the most important trends for the post-PC world include support for
ubiquitous palmtop devices and wireless applications, both of which the Company addresses with its solutions.
The Company was a featured presenter at the Red Herring Venture Market South conference held March 16-17
in Atlanta, GA. The Company has also been accepted to the Advanced Technology Development Center incubator
program at the Georgia Center for Advanced Telecommunications and Technology.
