4. Our Mission
to empower higher education professionals
across the world with the industry-specific
technology and support they need to
transform the traditional student lifecycle into a
dynamic student delight cycle
7. “... a new way of thinking for us and for technology
development in our space. For too long tools have been
built in an agnostic way and then labeled as "higher ed" …
Our approach aims to make our products useful literally
the minute they are spun up - by offering templates
and best practices as part of our product. Built in.
Intentionally. With this approach schools can then focus
on making it truly custom and not starting from scratch.”
Sasha Peterson - CEO
8. “... we're not a generic CRM or tools that need to be
configured to make it work for higher ed. for example,
Events module shouldn't feel like its generically
eventbrite, it should feel like it’s built for higher ed,
and designed to make each person's life easier. Instead
of a blank slate that needs to be set up from scratch,
it "knows" higher ed.”
Olivier Chaine - CTO
9. “Unbelievably easy for a school to get up and running
with the best practices in the industry for enrollment and
retention. Also, that includes the installation of the
features with the best practices. We want to reduce the
on boarding time from 10 months to 10 mins.”
Kevin Butts - VP of Product
12. Introducing TargetX EAP
As part of the Early Adopter Program (EAP), clients play a pivotal role in the
validation of new solutions.
EAP participants have access to the newest products and the opportunity to
provide suggestions on the features of new solutions/components before they’re
released; shaping the final product!
Participating schools also benefit from a dedicated EAP Product Xpert who’ll
assist you during installation and updates throughout the project.

16. #TargetXSummit
The Kick Off
1. We get briefed on the problem
we’re looking to solve from the
User Group discussions.
2. We discuss the specific goals of
the person using the product (i.e.
Advisor, Marketing, etc.)
3. We develop some stories and
scripts to help us map out and
focus in on the flow of the
product.
19. #TargetXSummit
Ideation
● Success Metrics
○ What do we monitor?
○ How do we determine success?
● # of active users.
● % of users using new vs old
system.
● Time to complete an action
20. #TargetXSummit
Solution Review
● We’ll walk through these items with YOU to outline the problems and solution.
● We’ll solicit feedback to help guide the final design work
○ Ad Hoc Imports vs Local High School Lists

Design: Mocking It Up
1. Now that we have narrowed
down our approach, success
metrics, defined technical
parameters and established
some wireframes that map out
the solution.
2. We dive into hi-fidelity
mockups and prototypes to
bring it to life and vet the concept
in very tangible way.

Develop: It’s ALIVE!
1. Now we’re cooking. We’ve have
it all in the oven and now we’re
cooking.
2. With the prototypes approved
and vetted we bring it to code.
We begin layering the
HTML/CSS and Accessibility
while our talented engineers
connect all the dots.

Ship It!
1. With the design coded, data
mapped, test written, we begin
testing, testing, testing to make
sure the product is solid and
ready for the hand-off.
