This document discusses alternate reality games (ARGs) and their potential use for learning. ARGs combine real-world and online elements to solve mysteries or puzzles either individually or in teams. For learning, case studies describe DevLearn 2009 and Constellation Wine ARGs designed to introduce social media tools and reinforce product knowledge, respectively.
