2. I decided to make some slight
changed to my magazine after
showing it to people from my target
audience, getting constructive
criticism on how to make it better
and even more professional
looking.
3. In the end I changed my masthead and found a
font that I felt was more appropriate than my hand
drawn design because I felt it was what was making
the product lack in professionalism, as you can see
unwanted edges because the quality of scanning is
lesser than a proper font already on the software.
4. I changed the title on
this by altering the
image behind to a
different image of lips
that looked neater and
more like a ‘pout’ as the
other was hard to
identify at first, I wanted
something people would
instantly realise what it is,
which I feel the second
titles does. I changed
that but used the same
font but with a different
shape to it, so it fits the
shape of the lips better, I
feel it now fits the
context of the article
appropriately and looks
more professional.
5. I had to make my text
smaller as on physical
print it looked too big. I
made it smaller from
’12pt’ to ‘9pt’ this
made it look like I had
less text, so I added
more text to fill the
page and make sure
all the columns were
full, I then changed the
positioning of the pull
quotes because at first I
felt they were too
close. I now think these
alterations have
improved my double
page spreads
appearance.
