2. ITINERARY - FLIGHTS
Meeting time at the airport is 2045 outside the Hawaiian Airlines check in area
We have booked a bus home from the airport to drop the students back at TGS, we will arrive
back at school around 10:45pm
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please ensure that you have:
* Valid Passport and the applicable visas.
* Passport must be valid for at least 6 months at completion of travel.
* E Ticket and Completed Departure Card.
* Travel Insurance
Auckland Airport recommends passengers arrive at least three hours before their scheduled
departure time.
Before you get to the airport make sure that you and your luggage adheres to aviation security
regulations - including those relating to what you can carry onto the plane in your hand luggage.

foods in sauces or containing a high liquid content including honey and marmite
creams, lotions, cosmetics and oils including face creams, foundation, sunblock, insect
repellent and roll-on deodorants

contents of pressurised containers, including shaving foam, other foam and deodorants
pastes including toothpaste
mascara and eyeliner
liquid soaps
lipsticks, lip gloss or lip balm and
any item of similar consistency at room temperature.
Check in
The check in counters for international passengers are located on the ground floor of the
international terminal
When checking in, you must have the following documents:
Passport
Travel documents, including ticket and/or booking reference.
Departure area
After checking-in on the ground floor, passengers should go to the first floor. Passengers are
advised to enter the departure area to complete Customs and emigration formalities and then
move on to their departure gate lounge. Our airport maps will help guide you to the right place
Luggage.
Find out about carrying liquids, gels or aerosols before you get to the airport, and remember it is
always wise to check your airline ticket for more information.

To help us ensure processing flows smoothly for the benefit of all passengers, before reaching the
Customs counter please have your boarding pass, departure card and passport ready.

8. The Volcano Adventure
Friday 11th
July
Pick up from the Ohana Malia at 6:15am on VIP transport shuttles
Fly on Hawaiian Airlines to Big Island (Hilo) from Honolulu airport
Pick up rental vans and head to Volcano national park Via Mauna Loa Mountain.
Spend the day seeing the different sights of the big island including the Thirston Lava tube, old
Eruption sites and craters, the steaming cliffs and the active areas of the coastline.
8pm - Return to Hilo airport for our Hawaiian Airlines flight to Honolulu, arrival at Honolulu airport
approx 9:45pm (return to the Malia approx. 10:15pm)
