2. Wwho are the druids?
• In ancient times, the Druids were members of
a professional class in which their society’s
religious and spiritual life was reprisented.
• They were the
philosophers, scientists, theologians, priests, t
eachers, judges, seers, doctors and
intellectuals of their culture.

3. What do druids believe
Magic and Mystery
They believed that with proper
training, art, discipline and will, human minds
and hearts are fully capable of performing
most of the magic and they are ever likely to
need.
Polytheism
They believe in a multiplicity of gods and
goddesses, as well as weaker beings, many
of Whom are worthy of respect and
worship.
Positive Ethics
They believe that ethics and morality should
be based upon joy, love, self-esteem and
respect.

4. What are the major druid
festivals?
• The festival of Samhain, of honouring the
dead and the ending of the year
• The first festival of Summer, of
Fertility, Pleasure and Union
