Mobile is making a huge wave in third world countries. The adaption rate in these countries are sometimes higher than those in the developed world. When deploying solutions to these regions, the focus on user experience is extremely important. Ux of this kind does not necessarily involve sexy graphics and animations, but the focus on the very very basics. How can we let someone who have never touch a computer to use a solution with no training? How can we design a system to share data without any internet/cell infrastructure? In this talk, we will go through case studies of projects that are deployed in various parts of Africa, including Central Africa, and Rwanda.
