Destiny Is Not A Matter
Of Chance!
Posted by S.W. Seeds in Business

“Destiny is not a matter of chance, it’s a matter of choice. It is not a thing
to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.” - Jeremy Kitson

Destiny to many is much like waiting for Publisher’s Clearing House to come
knocking on their door to give them a million dollars a year for life. To others,
it’s much like winning the lottery or perhaps a small fortune at the casino.

The cold hard fact is, destiny is neither. All those theories are based on chance.
One could argue that they too are a matter of choice as you have to choose to
purchase the lottery ticket and you have to choose to go to the casino. The end
result in either case, however, is a matter of chance.

When one decides to open a casino or start a lottery, it is with number one goal
of generating revenue. Going with the general belief that you have to spend
money to make money, therefore a certain amount of payout is planned for. It is
a matter of chance as to just who will receive that payout. Rest assured, the
calculated risk the casino owner takes, always comes out in the casino’s favor.
One could hardly argue that this is destiny.

True destiny, much like the word destination, depends on what efforts and
actions are taken to arrive at the destination. This comes from strategic
planning, whether it is booking an airline flight or mapping out on the GPS how
and when you will reach your destination.

The very same goes for one’s destiny. If your destiny has a goal of financial
independence, for example, you have to calculate exactly how you plan to
achieve your goal. But, even before that, you must determine exactly how much
revenue you will need to generate to make you financially independent. And, you
have to further identify as to who or what you are wanting to be independent of!

A favorite saying of mine is ”Let no one be in charge of your destiny.” Another
one is ”Don’t leave your destiny to chance!”

I can guarantee you that not one successful entrepreneur ever left their destiny
to chance. That is how they became successful.

Now you can sit back on your laurels and wait, thinking “if it’s meant to be, it
will be.” Or, you can take this little piece of advice.

Stop waisting your time and energy waiting, because it will never be “meant to
be.” It will never happen unless you make it happen!

Now, I don’t know about you, but to me that’s the greatest advice I have ever
heard! It’s great because I don’t have to wait to be successful, I just have to
make it happen myself! That means I have to wait on no one.

Think about it. Do you really want to leave your livelihood to chance? What
about your family’s future? Are you going to leave it to chance as well?

Come on, you know better than that! Think of how empowered you will feel once
you take control of your destiny.

I heard another quote once that said “your pay raise becomes effective when
you do.” Isn’t it time to make the decision that you aren’t going to leave your
destiny to chance?
