Loan repayment: aim is to work out how much it costs government to provide for these student loans aka the RAB charge. Ongoing improvements of the model.
Associates with other teams, finance, policy internally and SLC externally.
Other parts of the job: provide analytical support to policies. Provide support for PQ’s. A lot of opportunities to learn a variety of analytical software.
Model runs for a variety of scenarios. New policy idea -> what numbers look like.
A large part of the first month was learning the very basics and how the team operates.
Interaction with other GOV departments; policy work or routine yearly work
