The letter is from a former student, Susana Reyes, thanking her former ESL teacher Miss. Ventura for pushing her to work hard and helping her become a better student and person. Though the classwork was difficult at first, Susana came to enjoy the class and learned that achieving her goals would require hard work and self-motivation rather than depending on others. Susana credits Miss. Ventura for guiding her and doesn't know where she would be without that support and guidance in middle school.

Dear Miss. Ventura
Do you remember the first time we ever. It was when I came to orientation in 7th
grade I think that was your first time to teach in middle school. For the first time I
thought I was going to enjoy ESL class. Then when I got to your class you put us
straight to work. I thought is she crazy but no you trying to make us greater student
then we were at that time. Even though it was a lot of work I enjoyed your ESL
class.
After your class I understood that to get where you want to be you have to work
hard and never give up on your goals in life. I also learn never wait for somebody
to do for you but you do it for yourselfor you want learn nothing at all.
Thank you for make me a better as a person and as a student thank you very much.
I don’t know what I would do without you to guide me those years. Hope to see
you soon.
Sincerely,
Susana Reyes
