2. What is I.D.E.A.S.? Facilitate student involvement & volunteer opportunities through sustainable practices. Focus on 3 main themes: Research, Action, and Environmental Awareness We act with the purpose of furthering a sustainable campus and society.

Educate & Empower others about environmental sustainability Engage students with environmental initiatives Partner with Green initiatives, companies and organizations to achieve goals “Lead by Example” Unite others, including like-minded grassroots organizations looking to enforce sustainability

Ecosystem Clean-upsPreserving our native environment As a way to help preserve our Florida native ecosystems, I.D.E.A.S. hosts weekly clean-ups to ensure the conservation of the life of plants, animals, and the environment as a whole. -Beach -Trail-Roads -Forest-Lakes -Marine-Rivers-Islands Leaders: Chris Castro & Hank Harding

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!T-totes: Plastic Bag Reduction Campaign As a method to promote awareness about petroleum plastic and offer a solution for reduction, I.D.E.A.S. created “T-totes.” T-totes are made of 100% recycled t-shirts that are turned into a Re-useable tote bag! Totes REDUSE plastic bags!! Leader: Tina Beshold

12. Bikes Save CO2nsequences!I.D.E.A.S. promotes Environmental Awareness UCF Bike Rally started to promote and raise awareness about: -Clean Energy!-Alternate Transportation!-Climate Change Legislation! Apart of the Consequence Campaign -Won 8th place out of 1200!Leader: Doug Rogers

14. Ecosystem FacilitationEcological Engineering with Aquatic Vegetation Creating wetland ecosystems to help clean our local waters and reduce the chemicals used to maintain ponds around Florida. Leader: Zak Marimon

16. Environmental EducationK-12 Education We reach out to local Elementary, Middle, an High Schools to provide environmental educations to younger generations. Leader: Sebastian Church
