Day to day Schedule

2. 14TH July 2014– Arrival at Hannover
• In the morning we reached Hannover airport at
10:30 am
• Our partners and foster parents were present there
to receive us
• We all went home. After going home I was talking
to my foster family and after that we had lunch
• At 4:00pm we all had to met at a checkpoint and
our partners showed us around the city

3. 15TH July 2014 - School
• On this day we went to the school and we had an
official welcome by the school principal – Mr. Wuirtz.
• After that our school teachers (Padma mam and Sudha
mam) gave a Tanjore painting to the school principal as
a gift from KRMMHSS
• In the next 10 minutes we went to a classroom and
introduced ourselves
• After that we went to our partners class and sat for the
first 2 periods.
• In the afternoon we went to meet the mayor of
Hannover and then had a group photo

4. 16TH July 2014– School Project
• This day we had to attend the first four lessons
• My first two lessons were sport. My third lesson
was English and my fourth lesson was Deutsch
• In the afternoon we made our presentations

5. 17TH July 2014– National park
• On this day we had planned to go to the national park
in Schwembanfahrt
• We took a train to go to the park
• We walked for a long time and saw a couple of animals
getting their food
• While going back we took the bus to the station and
went back home
• After this Sherya, Irfan and me went for a barbecue.

6. 18TH July 2014– Hannover Zoo
• This day we went to the Hannover zoo
• We saw a lot of animals and also went for a ride on
the boat around the zoo
• We were given a sheet of questions to answer after
we saw the zoo

7. 19TH July 2014– Hide Park
This day was free for the students and we all decided
to go to the hide park for having fun

8. 20TH July 2014 - Swimming
This day was also free for us and most of us went for
swimming

9. 21ST July 2014- School
• We went to school on this day and worked on the
project for the first five lessons
• We studied that bees played an important role in a
ecosystem
• We later went to the computer lab and browsed
how to make a bee hotel

10. 22ND July 2014– River
• On this day we went to a small area where we had
seen birds and understood about the river
• This was the biggest river in Germany
• We walked inside a forest and saw an island
• There was also a story on the island
• After that we went to the river which more of a
beach. We played volleyball and relaxed

11. 23RD July 2014- Hamburg
• We had planned to go to Hamburg on this day
• We had a 2 hour drive to Hamburg
• We went shopping and had an ice cream
• All the boys alone went for lunch to McDonalds
• We returned at 08:00pm

12. 24TH July 2014– Bee hotel
• We started working on the bee hotel as planned.
• We worked in teams. Out of them one team worked
as the reconstruction team and the others made a
new one.
• Johanna, Nivedita, Julius and me worked in a team

13. 25TH July 2014– Final Day
• This was our last day in school
• We practiced for the dance in the evening and also
for our speeches
• We all went home and came back for the farewell
party in the evening. Every student had bought one
dish
• We then had our dance followed by the speech
• All the partners gave us a school shirt with a badge
• After that we all went to Nico’s house (Irfan’s
partner) for a get together for the rest of the
evening

14. 26TH July 2014– Autostadt
• This was a free day
• All the partners had to plan
something for us
• Some went together and some
went alone
• I went to the Autostadt with my
partner and Irfan’s foster family
• We saw a number of cars over
there
• After that we went to Hannover
for shopping

15. 27TH July 2014 - Returning
All of us arrived at the airport at 06:30am the next
morning and we left for Chennai. It was a sad day
leaving our partners and going. But the trip is not
yet over…. We look forward to having them in India
