The first kind is called physical violence. Physical abuse, including assault, is the intentional use of
force against a person without that person's consent. It can cause physical pain or injuries . Physical
abuse includes:
hitting, slapping or kicking
strangling or choking
killing someone
The second type is emotional abuse, Emotional abuse happens when a person uses words or actions
to control, frighten or isolate someone or take away their self–respect. Is contains :

This paper will outline how domestic violence can lead from a conflict to a major crisis. Domestic
violence is the aggressive or violent act of abusing a spouse, or partner within a relationship. Often
time's cases of domestic violence go unreported because the abuser has threatened to hurt or kill them
if they report the incident. It's also important to remember that the rate of domestic violence is likely

They were the first ones to be notified so that there was no further harm done to the victim as well
as the public. The police made sure that when they arrived the person in crisis was removed from
the house where she resided, and made sure she stayed at our house until their arrival. Police always
have to strategize and must negotiate their plans ahead so there will be no interruptions. The police
were very keen in their decision making to remove the male individual from the house, and escort
him to the police station.
Interpersonal/Intrapersonal skills involved The interpersonal skills that were involved in this
case were the police. The police were called, and upon their arrival, one of the female officers had
to try and calm the lady down by giving her some emotional support. The officer reinsured the
lady that what was going on was not ok, and no one deserved to get taken advantage of. By doing
this the officer was aware of the individual's emotions as well as her own. Another interpersonal
skill that the police used was making sure that the person in crisis was always safe. Weighing out all
the negative things that could have went wrong if she had stayed in the house with her partner
versus staying with the neighbour where she is

Right now, right at this very instant, a silent war all across the nation is being waged. A violation of
humanity, a crime that is least prosecuted, and a great threat endangering the lives of thousands of
women and children daily. Of course, I am talking about harsh reality of domestic violence. We live
in a time where domestic violence is kept a taboo subject, a shameful secret that shouldn't be let out.
We know it's happening, and even hear or see the events. But who's taking action?
I can stand here and give you a list of statistics about this issue, but is that all it is? A statistic?
Sadly enough, people look at this endless crime as just a figure or percentage, we're shocked at first
but nothing more. So today, I am taking the first step, a step towards justice, a step to end the
struggle, and a step to save our nation.
And yes, I'm not anyone special, I don't study the topic, nor am I a survivor of domestic violence
myself. But I'm here to tell a story. I'm here to make a change. And I'm here to encourage all of you
to do the same.
I'm going to share an experience I had. Something that I've regretted and hated myself for since,
knowing that help could've been sought earlier. A few years back, I was catching up with a family
member and noticed a faint bruise on her face. Naturally, I asked her what had happened but she
just brushed it off, told me it was nothing but a sport injury. Weeks progressed, and the bruises
became worse and worse, but I stop questioning. To me, she still seemed the happy go–lucky girl I
knew and loved, the only difference were these markings. But let me tell you, sometimes the people
who seem happiest, are actually hurting the most. And this was exactly the case. Flashforward a few
months, and her partner was being trialled and charged under the case of domestic abuse.
Although there were so many signs, my ignorance restrained me from helping her help herself.
Needless to say, I was absolutely disgusted. And to this day, I still can't even begin the fathom how
anyone could possibly put their hands on someone they loved. To purposely harm their significant

Domestic Violence is a problem sweeping the nation. This problem can affect anyone from anywhere
but is generally acting out upon children and adult women in abusive relationships. Domestic
violence is emotionally and physically scarring for anyone involved, and as a result could take
multiple intervention meetings to begin to understand the issue, alleviate the associated problems,
and to assist the victim in getting back on his or her feet. The consequences of abuse include anxiety,
depression, post–traumatic stress disorder and self–harm. Children may begin to act differently to

The three most common ways to use persuasion to curb domestic violence is to educate, have
nonverbal signals, and to speak out. Educating people will teach people how to deal with anger in
a passive way before turning into an abusive case. Different kinds of people can be shown and
given education on the dangers and signs of domestic violence and can use their knowledge of
the issue to put a stop to it. Nonverbal signals are a good way for people in relationships with
anger problems to control that anger. If there is a nonverbal signal in place, whoever is angry can
take the time to walk away and clear their head before turning to violence during an argument.
Last, speaking out is one of the best ways to put a stop to domestic violence. Calling the
authorities when he or she see or hear something can save someone's life. Take the necessary steps
when something first happens rather than later, when it gets out of hand. Domestic violence is a
crime, and there are almost always victims that come out of it damaged. Persuading people to do
