What Makes A Person Beautiful?
There are many ways to define beauty, but I feel like society plays a huge role in how beauty is
portrayed to women. I believe that society focuses more on what a person looks like than what they
actually do for society. What makes someone beautiful is what they have on the inside and who they
are. Qualities that beautiful people have are: kindness, honesty, respect, confidence, generosity,
positivity, and willingness to help others when they are in need. Society diminishes this ideal by
telling people what is and what is not beautiful. What should make a person beautiful is how they
treat people, their poise, and how they give back to the community.
I feel as though what society puts in the media makes people feel undesirable; as though they are not
accepted in society for meeting the expectations society puts in the media. People such as
BeyoncГ©, or Michelle Obama are viewed as "beautiful" in the American society. Society thinks
women should be skinny, with a perfect smile, tall, long hair, with large assets. Society shouldn 't
only focus on how a person looks, but on the character of that person, and how they treat others
within their family or community. BeyoncГ© stated; "We all have our imperfections. But I 'm
human, and you know, it 's important to concentrate on other qualities besides outer beauty." I feel as
though what BeyoncГ© stated here is that there is so much more to a person than what they look
like. Their contributions, personality, and how they make people

Describe Myself As A Student
Describe yourself as a student and also your aspirations for the future. Please include examples from
your personal academic and non–academic experiences.
A sophomore at Downtown Magnets High School, I demonstrate passion in my education, ambition
in fulfilling my personal and academic goals, and am an explorative student. My passion for learning
is the result of my mindset, in that aside from finding education a necessity, it is enjoyable,
challenging, and beneficial in fulfilling my future aspirations. For example, I find my Honors
Advanced Mathematics class my most unique course. It builds upon my ability to critically think,
present data or information, and understand higher–level math at a rapid pace. In particular, it is the
ability to solve real–world situations and the underlying mystery mathematicians have yet to solve
that intrigues me to continue learning. The class expects much of me, but I am aware that it is
preparing me for college– and university–level math while providing me with the skills to pursue a
career in Architectural/ Structural Engineering. Ambitious, I set objectives for myself and arrange to
accomplish and excel in the process. For instance, I participated in my middle school's academic
decathlon with a chance to represent my school in the mathematics single–subject exam. In doing so,
I attempted to score a near perfect to perfect score. While the competition did not end the way I
expected, I successfully gained a flawless score on the questions

Descriptive Essay About Myself
I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss
who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on
myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better
understanding of why I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself
because If I had been born under any different circumstances or grew up any differently I would be
a different person than I am today. I was born inAberdeen Scotland but raised in Fort Bend County
Texas. Aberdeen and Fort Bend both have great opportunities but differ in many ways. One way in
which they differ is that Fort Bend is very culturally diverse while in Aberdeen most of...show more

Her family communicates to one another using spanish or sometimes english. I have always
grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's
houses and hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different
people has also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group
projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work
together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them.
Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic
circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme
gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a
family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities.
One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a
blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other
competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also
helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is
the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents
has signed me up and insisted I

The three things that have made the biggest impact on and have influenced my life that shaped
me into the person I am today are family background, experiences from my school year, and
religious beliefs. Our culture provides a lens through which we view the world and interpret our
everyday experiences. In order to know who I am today, I must look at who you've been. Many
educators around the country are interested in developing a multicultural approach in their teaching.
They find themselves in classrooms with 25 children of varying racial and cultural backgrounds,
and are looking for ways to connect what they do in the classroom to the cultures represented by
their students. Before we can begin to understand others, however, we need to understand ourselves
and what we bring to our interactions with others. Every time we engage with our surroundings we
create an experience both consciously and unconsciously. Our live experiences whether traumatic or
joyful shape who we are over time. An experience that has defined the person I am today is my
journey I went through as a child traveling back and forth from the United States to Mexico as an
undocumented. If a child has an impact when moving into a new house and neighborhood imagine
countries. I was brought to the United States when I was two years old. When you are a baby I

Qualities that Define a Hard Working Person What qualifies a person to be categorized as a "hard
worker". He/She would have to be willing to do the work, and not only do it, but do it right.
Efficiency, things such as showing up on time, and getting the job done in a decent amount of
time. A person would have the knowledge to be able to do their work. Just as the cell is basic for
life, being efficient is the basic factor of all hard workers. This is extremely important, it ties in
with the other factors of the hard worker. Bosses look for people who are efficient, people who
get the job done the best and fastest way. Efficiency is not only better and faster but it is also
cheaper. I worked for a gentleman that always...show more content...
Does this person have the right skills to perform the job? An example I can think of is when I
worked for a rental company. When I turned 18 years old, my employers told me I had to get my
class E drivers license. Now this might not sound like a big deal but it was because if I did not
get it within five days of my 18th birthday I could not come back to work. The only way to get to
work again was to pass the test and bring a verified copy. This is a skill I had to obtain to work
this job. Other such skills required of me was that I had to know how to pull trailers behind
trucks, work on and with heavy machinery such as bucket lifts, tractors, lawn mowers, and other
such types of equipment. A knowledge base should not only contain the skills needed to do the
job but also some common sense. I say this meaning problem solving skills. For example if an
engine is not running this is how I would go about trying to make it run, my problem solving
method. Remembering what I had been told about engines needing three basic things,(fuel,
oxygen, and fire) first I would check the gas, this sounds very elementary, but it is amazing how
many people don't look at this. If this turns out not to be the problem, next I would check the oil.
Another of many simple things that people tend to over look. The third thing to check would
probably be the spark plug. Now granted these things are very simple but it is a good way of
showing problem solving methods. The

My Experience With Diversity And Diversity
As I reflect over my life, I appreciate the many diverse experiences I've came to encounter. My
experience with diversity dates back to birth. I am from a small rural town, Moss Point, MS. and
notably the last state to abolish slavery. The town currently has a population of 13,704 people and
consists of 73% Blacks or African Americans, 23% Caucasian, 1% Hispanic or Latino and 1%
bi–racial.
Regardless of my town's homogeneous population, I grew up accepting diversity and valuing
individual differences even amid the same racial group. One of the first experiences of diversity I
can vividly recall is the various religious beliefs within the Black community. My parents believed
"exposure to the world around you" was one of the primary factors for raising a well–rounded
individual. Therefore, we often visited different churches of various faiths.
Within my own family, there were different doctrines. My great–grandmother was Pentecostal, my
grandmother is a Baptist and my mother is an Atheist. While everyone seemed to have different
belief systems, I participated in them all. I had to learn to adapt to each religious institution. In one
church I was allowed to wear pants and women could also be pastors; whereas, in another, women
could only wear full length dresses and were not allowed in the pulpit.
Nonetheless, my parents consistently reiterated the world is comprised of many different races and
complexities, which in turn make the universe a beautiful place. They stressed

My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests
and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some
factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a
person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture
may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and
sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a
person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set
individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content...
Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends
I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music'
is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of
adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart
pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I
love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be
on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics
that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly
consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering
(especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is
measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very
strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that,
although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will
not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a

Essay On Character Traits
There are many character traits that make someone successful in life. Some traits you are born with,
other traits are mindsets. There are a few character traits that coaches, teachers, bosses, or any other
significant figure looks for in particular. One of the most important character traits is a hard–working
attitude. You aren't born with a hard–working attitude. It is a mindset. You may not be the best
employee, but an employer will be more willing to work with someone that works hard than
someone that can do the job but is lazy. Although I am not the best at everything, I give 100%
effort in everything that I do and believe that working hard is the most important trait a person can

I knew that in order to be starting, I needed to be the hardest worker on the team. With all my hard
work came a starting position. The biggest lesson that my father taught me was in seventh grade.
It was a normal day of basketball practice and we were scrimmaging. During a particular play, I
ran the wrong route. He made me run around the gym for forgetting what to do. I decided that I
was too tired to sprint around the gym. Because of my decision, he chose to kick me out of
practice. I knew at that point that I could take no breaks. While I was taking breaks, other people
were getting better. Chances to improve were very slim, so I needed to take advantage of them
whenever possible. Although this was a very inconvenient way for me to learn this lesson, he
definitely got his point across and I now work hard every chance that I get. Everyone wants to
have a successful career. The first step to a successful career is to obtain the job that you want.
Obviously you need the education level for this occupation, but what else is going to give you a leg
up on the competition? As a Sophomore in high school, I had the opportunity to job shadow a
manager of engineers at an engineering firm. One of his responsibilities was going through the
hiring process. As a prospective future employee, I was curious as to what he looked for most in

Examples Of Positive Attitude Essay
Positive Attitudes
If gives a choice of to being a positive person or negative person, I think that most of us prefer to be a
positive person rather than negative. Positive thinking sounds grateful and useful. A Positive attitude
is important nowadays society because the positive attitude can lead to healthier lifestyle. Many of
us think that successful people of this world have created amazing lifestyle because they were given
more opportunities than others. But these perceptions in this society are not true. The thing that

might think that 'Why I need to do so much work compared to him?' But when a boss gives us do
something there must be a reason. With a positive thinking we know that there is the place that we
need to improve.
Other than that, in working place a person with a positive attitude will almost always outperform a
person with a negative attitude. A successful people in working they have a positive attitude may
influence their life and its aspects in a way such as how they think, socialize with customers. All
these aspects might be affected by a positive attitude because as a worker, we need to know

My mom's name is Lisa and she was a PTA but is now a stay at home mom. My dad's name is
Luis and he was a chemical and nuclear engineer, but now owns his own business. I have 3 sisters:
Angie, Silencia, and Mahalia. I also have 3 brothers: Matthias, Geminiah, and Elshaddai. Angie
works with my dad to eventually take over the family business. The rest of my siblings are in
school except for Elshaddai who is only 3. My family expects me to be a good example to my
younger siblings and encourage them. To do this they also expect me to do well in school and in
athletics. My mom is a very outgoing, loud, and energetic person. My dad is also very outgoing

relaxed personality. Mahalia is very loud, active, and argumentative. Silencia is the most soft–spoken
and relaxed out of everyone. Matthias is very outgoing, loud, and active. Geminiah and Elshaddai
are both loud and very active. I have good relationships with everyone in my family. I do have
small disagreements with my siblings sometimes, but we all love each other a lot. I had a very
unusual childhood, but it was still fun. My childhood was unusual because it involved a lot of

I Must Describe My Attitude And Behavior
The way that I would describe my attitude and behavior when relating with people is alright in my
opinion I believe that I do not come off as being rude, as being caring, and sincere. The way that I
would describe myself in stressful situations is that I tend to panic right away instead of stopping
and thinking what should I do to resolve this problem. Instead of panicking and stressing out right
away maybe I should ask the other person what I should do or what they would do. Non– Verbal
Behavior : I would describe the messages that my nonverbal behavior send is that I act very
approachable to others, people always tell me that I am always happy and smiling, and that
whenever people see me I am always smiling. Listening skills: The way that I would describe
myself when listening to others is first I let them speak to get their whole point across. I
sometimes interrupt, and I also ask questions, as well as pay close attention to what the person is
saying but I also tend to dose off somewhere else, and I do get easily distracted by noises, or other
conversations. I sometimes tend to connect to my own experiences but, often take the focus off
the other person and go on and on. I would describe myself as being warm to people, but young
people my age find me less approachable, because of my lack of confidence. But older people
children find me very approachable, kind, and warm that is because I am more confident with that
age group. Some people have told me that my face

Who I Describe A Person Am I?
What type of person am I? Honestly that can be a difficult question to address. The person I am is
understanding and kind. However, it can be very difficult to always be that person. People are
constantly changing and adapting to the new situations they face. I have been through both
exuberant and tragic events and they have both shaped the person I am today but I am always
changing. I like to believe I am the kind of person anyone can go to if they need help.
To begin with, some of the most important people in my life, those who have gotten me to this
point, are my mother and my best friend Mary Barnett. My mother has always been at my side
since day one and she has never failed to help me through any tough situation. She taught me the
way the world works and encouraged me to chase my dreams. I owe my mother more than anyone
else. However, my best friend Mary Barnett has also been by my side for about 8 years now. She has
gotten me over the heartbreaks of losing friends to the death of my grandfather. No one can make
me feel as safe and secure as her. I owe her for teaching me to be kind to everyone even if no one is
kind to me. Both of these women have shaped my beliefs and the way I see the world.
Subsequently, there are many places, much like people, who have shaped the person I am. Theplace
I have spent the last 8 years was a unbelievably small town in Indiana. With a population nearly a
third of that of Cocoa Beach. One place that my best friend and I always went was this tiny park
directly in the center of town. The park was not much but we had so many late night talks and get to
know each other conversations at this park that it felt somehow important. Going to this tiny park
became impacting and I knew that every time we were supposed to meet, it would be at that park.
Places have a way of becoming important when you have more than one experience there. For me,
nothing is more important than that park.
Similarly, there are several events that have occurred in my life that made me into the person I am
today. Those events are huge moments in my life that either affected me in a negative or positive
way. Meeting my best friend was a huge event to me. I remember every detail on the day I met her

to do than someone forcing me to do it. This influence had made me to talk to more people and
get to know them and also to get to know new things that I did not even know that I was possible
to do. This has also made me able to do things that I want like any sports or anything I want and
ignore the people that are negative about my ways.
After all, my father is an inspiring person to me, he loves me for who I am and what I do, but he
wants me to be a successful man in the future life. He is trying to use his knowledge to make my
knowledge better and make it easier on me with school. What he does for me I respect it fully.
The things he does for me, as in like loving, caring, and helping my feature, I respect it so much.
My father always tells me that "If you stay on task, keep safe, and have fun on something you like
or even love, keep on going for it and you will be able to accomplish anything and will be able to
do and it will be able to help your future family, your family now, people who you love, and others

Personal Characteristics Essay
There are many personal characteristics that can affect a person as an individual and his
professional success, namely openness, ability to learn and adapt etc. These personal
characteristics can sometimes make a person successful and sometimes doesn't. As I spend more

professional success: namely ambitious, creative and adaptable. These characteristics come out in
many different ways. Have you set your goals? Have you decided the path you have to take to

This characteristic will motivate me to grow better in my future career as well. I believe that few
people have a strong inner feeling that pushes them to think out of the box to identify as issue and
find the solution. Personally, I always try to find the most creative solution and do not give up until
I get it. Sometime this energy is contagious on to next. I always search for the missing links and
fine–tune my thoughts until I reach a point that works. This creativity has steadily driven my
ambitions through the organization. Today the world is changing so rapidly and the way it has
changed in last few decades, it hasn't changed in last few hundred years. So adaptability has become
the need of the hour. I believe that adaptability is the most important quality of all, particularly if one
is in technology industry. There have been times when this adaptability has changed the
nomenclature of day and night but it has also given me rewards at the appropriate times.
Adaptability, personally, has created a far–reaching international outlook and I was able to spend
time, living outside my country of origin, working for UK retails giants and this stay not only
diversified my work experience but also my cultural experience. It has improved my exposure to
diverse situations with increasing levels of complexity and this exposure has increased my
eagerness for new challenges. It has instigated a feeling in me that there

The Trait Theory Of Personality Essay
ESSAY TOPIC: Describe the trait theory of personality. Select one "factor" or "trait" from a
prominent trait theory and discuss the relative strengths and weaknesses of someone who strongly
exhibits this trait.
1. Introduction
Traits are described as the unique and constant characteristic tendencies that shape and influence a
person's mood and behaviour (Ewen 2013, p. 110; Olesen, Thomsen & O'Toole 2015, p. 45).
Prominent personality psychologists Gordon Allport, authored the first American review of
psychological literature on personality and character in 1921, citing numerous sources that involved
trait concepts (Barenbaum & Winter 2008, p. 3). Notably, personality psychologists Gordon Allport,
Raymond Cattell and Hans Eysenck made important contributions towards the understanding of
personality traits that continue to influence modern trait theory (Barenbaum & Winter 2008, p. 12).
Drawing from the work of these theorists, Paul Costa and Robert McCrae developed the widely
accepted Five Factor Theory (FFT) (Ewen 2013, p. 140; John, Naumann & Soto 2008, p. 120).
Neuroticism is one of the basic factors of personality featuring in several trait theories, including the
FFT. Further, numerous studies have shown a significant link between negative mental health
outcomes and high levels of neuroticism (Lahey 2009, p. 241 & 242). This essay will discuss the
trait theory of personality and the outcomes for people who strongly exhibit neuroticism.

when things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it
puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind
is my cousin Cassy. Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and
strong. She doesn't run away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for
others no matter what the situation is. What is a hero to you? On September 24th of 2017, my
parents, along with my sister and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the
afternoon. My aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As
we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another
awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how
long my aunt was going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her
response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to Fargo from the farm
place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and
then finally blurted out the sentence that nobody ever wants to hear come from a loved

Descriptive Essay About My Mother
No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one
person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and
a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person
as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check
and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and
teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. Even though my dad was still involved in my life
after my parents split up it was my mother who I primarily lived with and it was her who had the
greatest influence on my life growing up. Anyone who has known my...show more content...
Heaven help you if you do anything to endanger her family. My mom also does not go soft on her
kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us
straight when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger
if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost
nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is
very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later.
She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would
love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music.
She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on
what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that
I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend
time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the
opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even

Describe A Person Essay Example

  • 1. What Makes A Person Beautiful? There are many ways to define beauty, but I feel like society plays a huge role in how beauty is portrayed to women. I believe that society focuses more on what a person looks like than what they actually do for society. What makes someone beautiful is what they have on the inside and who they are. Qualities that beautiful people have are: kindness, honesty, respect, confidence, generosity, positivity, and willingness to help others when they are in need. Society diminishes this ideal by telling people what is and what is not beautiful. What should make a person beautiful is how they treat people, their poise, and how they give back to the community. I feel as though what society puts in the media makes people feel undesirable; as though they are not accepted in society for meeting the expectations society puts in the media. People such as BeyoncГ©, or Michelle Obama are viewed as "beautiful" in the American society. Society thinks women should be skinny, with a perfect smile, tall, long hair, with large assets. Society shouldn 't only focus on how a person looks, but on the character of that person, and how they treat others within their family or community. BeyoncГ© stated; "We all have our imperfections. But I 'm human, and you know, it 's important to concentrate on other qualities besides outer beauty." I feel as though what BeyoncГ© stated here is that there is so much more to a person than what they look like. Their contributions, personality, and how they make people Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Describe Myself As A Student Describe yourself as a student and also your aspirations for the future. Please include examples from your personal academic and non–academic experiences. A sophomore at Downtown Magnets High School, I demonstrate passion in my education, ambition in fulfilling my personal and academic goals, and am an explorative student. My passion for learning is the result of my mindset, in that aside from finding education a necessity, it is enjoyable, challenging, and beneficial in fulfilling my future aspirations. For example, I find my Honors Advanced Mathematics class my most unique course. It builds upon my ability to critically think, present data or information, and understand higher–level math at a rapid pace. In particular, it is the ability to solve real–world situations and the underlying mystery mathematicians have yet to solve that intrigues me to continue learning. The class expects much of me, but I am aware that it is preparing me for college– and university–level math while providing me with the skills to pursue a career in Architectural/ Structural Engineering. Ambitious, I set objectives for myself and arrange to accomplish and excel in the process. For instance, I participated in my middle school's academic decathlon with a chance to represent my school in the mathematics single–subject exam. In doing so, I attempted to score a near perfect to perfect score. While the competition did not end the way I expected, I successfully gained a flawless score on the questions Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About Myself I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better understanding of why I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself because If I had been born under any different circumstances or grew up any differently I would be a different person than I am today. I was born inAberdeen Scotland but raised in Fort Bend County Texas. Aberdeen and Fort Bend both have great opportunities but differ in many ways. One way in which they differ is that Fort Bend is very culturally diverse while in Aberdeen most of...show more content... Her family communicates to one another using spanish or sometimes english. I have always grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's houses and hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different people has also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them. Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents has signed me up and insisted I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. The three things that have made the biggest impact on and have influenced my life that shaped me into the person I am today are family background, experiences from my school year, and religious beliefs. Our culture provides a lens through which we view the world and interpret our everyday experiences. In order to know who I am today, I must look at who you've been. Many educators around the country are interested in developing a multicultural approach in their teaching. They find themselves in classrooms with 25 children of varying racial and cultural backgrounds, and are looking for ways to connect what they do in the classroom to the cultures represented by their students. Before we can begin to understand others, however, we need to understand ourselves and what we bring to our interactions with others. Every time we engage with our surroundings we create an experience both consciously and unconsciously. Our live experiences whether traumatic or joyful shape who we are over time. An experience that has defined the person I am today is my journey I went through as a child traveling back and forth from the United States to Mexico as an undocumented. If a child has an impact when moving into a new house and neighborhood imagine countries. I was brought to the United States when I was two years old. When you are a baby I guess is not that great of a deal you don 't remember much. However, when you start going to school and you are already half way through first grade, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Qualities that Define a Hard Working Person What qualifies a person to be categorized as a "hard worker". He/She would have to be willing to do the work, and not only do it, but do it right. Efficiency, things such as showing up on time, and getting the job done in a decent amount of time. A person would have the knowledge to be able to do their work. Just as the cell is basic for life, being efficient is the basic factor of all hard workers. This is extremely important, it ties in with the other factors of the hard worker. Bosses look for people who are efficient, people who get the job done the best and fastest way. Efficiency is not only better and faster but it is also cheaper. I worked for a gentleman that always...show more content... Does this person have the right skills to perform the job? An example I can think of is when I worked for a rental company. When I turned 18 years old, my employers told me I had to get my class E drivers license. Now this might not sound like a big deal but it was because if I did not get it within five days of my 18th birthday I could not come back to work. The only way to get to work again was to pass the test and bring a verified copy. This is a skill I had to obtain to work this job. Other such skills required of me was that I had to know how to pull trailers behind trucks, work on and with heavy machinery such as bucket lifts, tractors, lawn mowers, and other such types of equipment. A knowledge base should not only contain the skills needed to do the job but also some common sense. I say this meaning problem solving skills. For example if an engine is not running this is how I would go about trying to make it run, my problem solving method. Remembering what I had been told about engines needing three basic things,(fuel, oxygen, and fire) first I would check the gas, this sounds very elementary, but it is amazing how many people don't look at this. If this turns out not to be the problem, next I would check the oil. Another of many simple things that people tend to over look. The third thing to check would probably be the spark plug. Now granted these things are very simple but it is a good way of showing problem solving methods. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Experience With Diversity And Diversity As I reflect over my life, I appreciate the many diverse experiences I've came to encounter. My experience with diversity dates back to birth. I am from a small rural town, Moss Point, MS. and notably the last state to abolish slavery. The town currently has a population of 13,704 people and consists of 73% Blacks or African Americans, 23% Caucasian, 1% Hispanic or Latino and 1% bi–racial. Regardless of my town's homogeneous population, I grew up accepting diversity and valuing individual differences even amid the same racial group. One of the first experiences of diversity I can vividly recall is the various religious beliefs within the Black community. My parents believed "exposure to the world around you" was one of the primary factors for raising a well–rounded individual. Therefore, we often visited different churches of various faiths. Within my own family, there were different doctrines. My great–grandmother was Pentecostal, my grandmother is a Baptist and my mother is an Atheist. While everyone seemed to have different belief systems, I participated in them all. I had to learn to adapt to each religious institution. In one church I was allowed to wear pants and women could also be pastors; whereas, in another, women could only wear full length dresses and were not allowed in the pulpit. Nonetheless, my parents consistently reiterated the world is comprised of many different races and complexities, which in turn make the universe a beautiful place. They stressed Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Personal Identity Essay A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content... Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a person's identity. I have not had too many educational Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Essay On Character Traits There are many character traits that make someone successful in life. Some traits you are born with, other traits are mindsets. There are a few character traits that coaches, teachers, bosses, or any other significant figure looks for in particular. One of the most important character traits is a hard–working attitude. You aren't born with a hard–working attitude. It is a mindset. You may not be the best employee, but an employer will be more willing to work with someone that works hard than someone that can do the job but is lazy. Although I am not the best at everything, I give 100% effort in everything that I do and believe that working hard is the most important trait a person can possess. As a child, the phrase, "Do your best," was...show more content... I knew that in order to be starting, I needed to be the hardest worker on the team. With all my hard work came a starting position. The biggest lesson that my father taught me was in seventh grade. It was a normal day of basketball practice and we were scrimmaging. During a particular play, I ran the wrong route. He made me run around the gym for forgetting what to do. I decided that I was too tired to sprint around the gym. Because of my decision, he chose to kick me out of practice. I knew at that point that I could take no breaks. While I was taking breaks, other people were getting better. Chances to improve were very slim, so I needed to take advantage of them whenever possible. Although this was a very inconvenient way for me to learn this lesson, he definitely got his point across and I now work hard every chance that I get. Everyone wants to have a successful career. The first step to a successful career is to obtain the job that you want. Obviously you need the education level for this occupation, but what else is going to give you a leg up on the competition? As a Sophomore in high school, I had the opportunity to job shadow a manager of engineers at an engineering firm. One of his responsibilities was going through the hiring process. As a prospective future employee, I was curious as to what he looked for most in an employee. He did not say education. He did not say experience. He said that they needed a hard working Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Examples Of Positive Attitude Essay Positive Attitudes If gives a choice of to being a positive person or negative person, I think that most of us prefer to be a positive person rather than negative. Positive thinking sounds grateful and useful. A Positive attitude is important nowadays society because the positive attitude can lead to healthier lifestyle. Many of us think that successful people of this world have created amazing lifestyle because they were given more opportunities than others. But these perceptions in this society are not true. My dad's name is Luis and he was a chemical and nuclear engineer, but now owns his own business. I have 3 sisters: Angie, Silencia, and Mahalia. I also have 3 brothers: Matthias, Geminiah, and Elshaddai. Angie works with my dad to eventually take over the family business. The rest of my siblings are in school except for Elshaddai who is only 3. My family expects me to be a good example to my younger siblings and encourage them. To do this they also expect me to do well in school and in athletics. My mom is a very outgoing, loud, and energetic person. My dad is also very outgoing and loud, but he has more of a serious side to him. Angie is really fun, but she also has a more relaxed personality. Mahalia is very loud, active, and argumentative. Silencia is the most soft–spoken and relaxed out of everyone. Matthias is very outgoing, loud, and active. Geminiah and Elshaddai are both loud and very active. I have good relationships with everyone in my family. I do have small disagreements with my siblings sometimes, but we all love each other a lot. I had a very unusual childhood, but it was still fun. My childhood was unusual because it involved a lot of training but that's what we did together as a family, and growing up I had friends that did the same thing and we all enjoyed it. • 11. I Must Describe My Attitude And Behavior The way that I would describe my attitude and behavior when relating with people is alright in my opinion I believe that I do not come off as being rude, as being caring, and sincere. The way that I would describe myself in stressful situations is that I tend to panic right away instead of stopping and thinking what should I do to resolve this problem. Instead of panicking and stressing out right away maybe I should ask the other person what I should do or what they would do. Non– Verbal Behavior : I would describe the messages that my nonverbal behavior send is that I act very approachable to others, people always tell me that I am always happy and smiling, and that whenever people see me I am always smiling. Listening skills: The way that I would describe myself when listening to others is first I let them speak to get their whole point across. I sometimes interrupt, and I also ask questions, as well as pay close attention to what the person is saying but I also tend to dose off somewhere else, and I do get easily distracted by noises, or other conversations. I sometimes tend to connect to my own experiences but, often take the focus off the other person and go on and on. I would describe myself as being warm to people, but young people my age find me less approachable, because of my lack of confidence. But older people children find me very approachable, kind, and warm that is because I am more confident with that age group. Some people have told me that my face Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Who I Describe A Person Am I? What type of person am I? Honestly that can be a difficult question to address. The person I am is understanding and kind. However, it can be very difficult to always be that person. People are constantly changing and adapting to the new situations they face. I have been through both exuberant and tragic events and they have both shaped the person I am today but I am always changing. I like to believe I am the kind of person anyone can go to if they need help. To begin with, some of the most important people in my life, those who have gotten me to this point, are my mother and my best friend Mary Barnett. My mother has always been at my side since day one and she has never failed to help me through any tough situation. She taught me the way the world works and encouraged me to chase my dreams. I owe my mother more than anyone else. However, my best friend Mary Barnett has also been by my side for about 8 years now. She has gotten me over the heartbreaks of losing friends to the death of my grandfather. No one can make me feel as safe and secure as her. I owe her for teaching me to be kind to everyone even if no one is kind to me. Both of these women have shaped my beliefs and the way I see the world. Subsequently, there are many places, much like people, who have shaped the person I am. Theplace I have spent the last 8 years was a unbelievably small town in Indiana. With a population nearly a third of that of Cocoa Beach. One place that my best friend and I always went was this tiny park directly in the center of town. The park was not much but we had so many late night talks and get to know each other conversations at this park that it felt somehow important. Going to this tiny park became impacting and I knew that every time we were supposed to meet, it would be at that park. Places have a way of becoming important when you have more than one experience there. For me, nothing is more important than that park. Similarly, there are several events that have occurred in my life that made me into the person I am today. Those events are huge moments in my life that either affected me in a negative or positive way. Meeting my best friend was a huge event to me. I remember every detail on the day I met her and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 14. Essay on Profile of a Person Raphael Colmanette 1 Dr.McDonough 10/16 First Year Writing Clash Of Cultures There are a lot of people around Belmont University with different concepts, different goals, different experiences, different cultures, but most important, different methods of thinking. When I realized that I would need to write a profile of someone else, I thought it would be the easiest essay that I have ever done. Contrary to my expectations, I realized that to write someone else's profile is kind of hard, because it is not only a simple thing such as just write the entire life of the person. A lot of stuff is behind the profile of a person. When I first thought about who I should interview, I was kind of lost, because I do not know a lot of people...show more content... The guy that I am talking about is Andrew Gordon Conner, who has born on august 8 1992, and he is the person that organize my hall, and needs to maintain the organization, like a security, known here in the U.S as R.A. I knew that he was a different guy with a lot of experiences for me to know, but actually he was way more than that. Andrew was born at Bangkok, Thailand. At the time he told me that, I became so interest to know about the culture, and all the differences between there and here. The most interesting thing about Andrew is that he has already lived in few different places and knows a lot of different cultures. He lived there in Bangkok until his six years old, and he had a good life there. He was used to live in a property where his family was the only white family in the whole building, what for me, I think it would be kind of scary, but according to him, it was kind of normal for him and his parents. His dad was used to work for a company back in Bangkok that when Andrew was six, the company changed place to Arizona, United States. With six years, he had already challenged the difficulties of change home to another country, and especially the big change of culture. Andrew was lucky to move when he was only six, because whenever you have more then ten years and had already made a lot of friends, and had already gone to school, it would be much harder to get used to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Personal Characteristics Essay There are many personal characteristics that can affect a person as an individual and his professional success, namely openness, ability to learn and adapt etc. These personal characteristics can sometimes make a person successful and sometimes doesn't. As I spend more and more time as a professional, I perceive that there are few characteristics that are essential for professional success: namely ambitious, creative and adaptable. These characteristics come out in many different ways. Have you set your goals? Have you decided the path you have to take to pursue your goal? What are the sacrifices you can do to achieve your ambition? How much can you think out of the box to resolve a particular issue or bring new idea to the table? How...show more content... This characteristic will motivate me to grow better in my future career as well. I believe that few people have a strong inner feeling that pushes them to think out of the box to identify as issue and find the solution. Personally, I always try to find the most creative solution and do not give up until I get it. Sometime this energy is contagious on to next. I always search for the missing links and fine–tune my thoughts until I reach a point that works. This creativity has steadily driven my ambitions through the organization. Today the world is changing so rapidly and the way it has changed in last few decades, it hasn't changed in last few hundred years. So adaptability has become the need of the hour. I believe that adaptability is the most important quality of all, particularly if one is in technology industry. There have been times when this adaptability has changed the nomenclature of day and night but it has also given me rewards at the appropriate times. Adaptability, personally, has created a far–reaching international outlook and I was able to spend time, living outside my country of origin, working for UK retails giants and this stay not only diversified my work experience but also my cultural experience. It has improved my exposure to diverse situations with increasing levels of complexity and this exposure has increased my eagerness for new challenges. It has instigated a feeling in me that there Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Personal Essay : My Personal Qualities My Personal Qualities Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and qualities. One person does not just simply fall into one category, but various categories. What is beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned that we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours. As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on my collage. I appreciate beautiful things and this is why I got beauty/aesthetics as one of my highest totals on the values survey. On my collage, I put a picture of a microscope, with the circular flask and test tubes. I also...show more content... I know and I have been told that I am a kind and sympathetic person, because I love to help people and put a smile on their faces. Even when someone is being rude, I try to "kill them with kindness" in return. I used the quote: "Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not on the outside. I think people sometimes, even me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality. A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because I already knew I had these traits as a part of my personality. However, the results from mylearning styles survey were a little surprising to me. I got visual as my highest total score, while kinesthetic and auditory were almost balanced out scores. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last year, I took a survey to figure out my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can be learned and strengthened. I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I found out the little unique things that make up my personality. From my personality survey, I am mostly artistic, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. The Trait Theory Of Personality Essay ESSAY TOPIC: Describe the trait theory of personality. Select one "factor" or "trait" from a prominent trait theory and discuss the relative strengths and weaknesses of someone who strongly exhibits this trait. 1. Introduction Traits are described as the unique and constant characteristic tendencies that shape and influence a person's mood and behaviour (Ewen 2013, p. 110; Olesen, Thomsen & O'Toole 2015, p. 45). Prominent personality psychologists Gordon Allport, authored the first American review of psychological literature on personality and character in 1921, citing numerous sources that involved trait concepts (Barenbaum & Winter 2008, p. 3). Notably, personality psychologists Gordon Allport, Raymond Cattell and Hans Eysenck made important contributions towards the understanding of personality traits that continue to influence modern trait theory (Barenbaum & Winter 2008, p. 12). Drawing from the work of these theorists, Paul Costa and Robert McCrae developed the widely accepted Five Factor Theory (FFT) (Ewen 2013, p. 140; John, Naumann & Soto 2008, p. 120). Neuroticism is one of the basic factors of personality featuring in several trait theories, including the FFT. Further, numerous studies have shown a significant link between negative mental health outcomes and high levels of neuroticism (Lahey 2009, p. 241 & 242). This essay will discuss the trait theory of personality and the outcomes for people who strongly exhibit neuroticism. 2. Body: Prominent personality Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. A Descriptive Essay : The Man The Man The green grass has nothing on his beautiful, emerald eyes. The soft smiles he gives me in the hallways light up the world. A face like heaven, but with a jawline so sharp it could cut your fingers. The way his muscles tense when I rub his arms after a long, sweaty day of baseball is like holding a bowling ball. Messing with his fluffy hair is like cotton candy I could tear into everyday. The noises he makes are so crazy they become comforting. His smell is very unique, just like a cozy house on a winter day. A mammoth's heart is non comparable to how big of a heart he has for the ones he loves. I get a delightful tingly sensation when his manly, but modulated voice speaks to me on the phone at night. No Channing Tatum can compare how handsome he looks in my eyes. The flirtation winks he gives me while walking to the dugout when he sees me looking at him. When I look at him I see a beautiful person inside and out. The way he laughs, you'd think we were at a comedy show. Hearing him laugh until he's crying is the best feeling you get in your body that just brightens your day and all you can do is just stare and admire him. The warm, soft hugs he gives is like laying in a freshly made bed after everything has been washed. His eyes dilate every time he looks at me and you can just see the happiness in his eyes. When he holds my hand in stores it's like having my own personal guardian angel taking me towards the right way in life. He cares so much about what I want Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Descriptive Essay About A Hero When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies between different people; however, my definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy. Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and strong. She doesn't run away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for others no matter what the situation is. What is a hero to you? On September 24th of 2017, my parents, along with my sister and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the afternoon. My aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to Fargo from the farm place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and then finally blurted out the sentence that nobody ever wants to hear come from a loved Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Descriptive Essay About My Mother No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. Even though my dad was still involved in my life after my parents split up it was my mother who I primarily lived with and it was her who had the greatest influence on my life growing up. My mom also does not go soft on her kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us straight when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
