4. ABOUT ALLIED ICD SERVICES LTD.
ALLIED ICD services limited, location in Durgapur , is the first operational dry port
in eastern India. Inaugurated in may 2006 , this company is owned and promoted
by pdp international pvt. Ltd which has immense expertise in the area of clearing
and forwarding, warehouse, multimodal transportation and air – cargo (IATA
CERTIFIED). Allied icd service lyd. Engaged in a collaboration with container
corporation of india ltd. (concor) allied service ltd. Has developed edi services of
its own , since October 2012.
Allied icd service limited has the facility of over a
hundred trailers for carrying containers and various equipments of the latest
technology in order to ensure that all tasks are performed efficiently.Allied icd
service limited provides services to both exporter and importer under the same
roof.
The icd is a common eser facility having a full
fledge customs house functioning within its customs notified area.All facilities
pertaining to customs clearances including appraisement ,duty payment ,export
permission etc readily are available in icd Durgapur.
5. ABOUT PDP INTERNATIONAL
The foundation of pdp group of companies was laid in 1952 by durga Prasad
pandey in Kolkata and it has expanded to position itself as one of eastern India’s
premier logistics operators today in spite of stiff competition in this field of
business and still registering growth. PDP group is a well known a repeated
shipping and freight forwarding co committed to provide all service under one
roof to its clients.

facilitate national and international trade.
To create an additional port facility to cater to the exim trade in the
Durgapur, asansol and the adjoining industries area.
To increase the volume of through put of the gateway port of Kolkata and
haldia.

16. First day in my icd I worked with cha department . In cha I learned about
documents which is important for export and import and documents required by
customs authorities that required to be submitted to enables them to :-
Check the goods
Decide value and classification of goods
To insure that the importer is legally permitted
The documents that are essential required are :-

Bill of lading
Packing list
Inspection certificate
Certificate of origin
Certificate of quality
Certificate of quantity

17. IMPORT PROCEDURE
1. Chalan and t.p is issued by port for icd .
2. T.p is checked by customs and customs issue gate pass.
3. After issuing gate pass they will give documents like:-
a) Bill of lading
b) Commercial invoice
c) Packing list
d) Bill of entry
e) West Bengal value added tax rules [way bill]
f) Sales invoice
4. After submitting documents and gate pass shipping line give delivery report
5. After delivering to factory. Factory will give receive order.when empty
container is delivered by trailor than in icd received order have to submit.
A.R.E -1:-
When container is loaded in factory for export . than a.r.e -1 form documents is
issued. It is issued by central excise .

In this form all the information will be written like:- truck no. , container no. ,seal

DO:-delivery order is issued by shipping line for imported container.

Specific date is given in slot documents .if container is not given in that time
period than they have to again apply for the slot.in slot documents place where
empty container have to store is given.

CARTIN ORDER
Cartin order is given by shipping line after stuffing for export. carting order
is issued for entry in port.for booking of vessel.after showing cartin order
than only they have to pay port charges. Cartin order contains :-container
number, booking number , size type ,destination port , shipping line
,forwader, gross net.

Examination of good:-
Examiner carry out physical examination and quantitative checking like
weighing, measuring etc. selected packages are opened and examined on
sample basis in customs examination yard. Examination report is prepared
by the examiner.
OUT OF CUSTOMS CHARGE ORDER:-
After goods are examined ,it is verified that import is not prohibited and after
customs duty is paid ,customs officer will issue ‘out of customs charge’ order
section 47. Goods can be cleared from customs area only on receipt of such
order. It is passed by appraiser and not by assistant commissioner.
