[object Object],All floor joists on HUD homes are 2” X 6” on 16” centers on 28 wides and 2” X 8” on 32 wides.

We crimp the air duct to help alleviate the duct from popping.

This picture shows all drain and water lines strapped into place and the floor ready to be placed onto the carrier.

[object Object],The decking is sanded in the linoleum areas to smooth out any uneven seams.

[object Object],Vinyl floor covering is rolled into place and secured, and all openings are cut for the plumbing.

The cabinets are assembled for each home as the customer orders it.

[object Object],All cabinets and fixtures are put in place and connected before any interior walls are erected. This gives greater access to the connections and wiring as well as eliminating damage to floors and walls during installation.

[object Object],Next come the sidewalls… All sidewalls are 2x4 standard, with 2x6 walls and R-19 insulation as an option. They are always 16” on center.

[object Object],All of the lumber used is #2 grade or better. Notice our windows have double headers and studs for added strength and stability.

[object Object],Note notches in the sidewall with the plates covering the wiring for added protection!

Each home is joined together or “Married in Line” to assure a perfect union once the home is ready to set up on your location.

[object Object],Clayton Homes uses a nylon mesh weather barrier to help seal the home against the elements and moisture. The weather barrier is applied to the home prior to any siding applications. Its just another way Clayton Homes insures that our homes are built to last.

[object Object],Vinyl wrap sheet rock resists moisture buildup and is washable!

[object Object],Next comes the roof system. Clayton uses an engineered truss system. 20lb Roof load is standard with an opotional 30lb for snow loads.

[object Object],The ridge beam can be thought of as the backbone for the rib cage. It maintains the rigidity and structural integrity of the entire home. We use a full-length, continuous, laminated ridge beam.

[object Object],The roof cavity is filled with a fiber cellulose insulation. The cellulose insulation is extremely fire resistant.

[object Object],In keeping with residential standards, 7/16” OSB is used as our standard roof decking material.

[object Object],30-year fiberglass shingles are standard.

[object Object],Siding is being installed simultaneously in the shingle area. Smart Panel is also available.
