INTRODUCTION
• Human body is made up of several organ
systems that all work together as a unit to
make sure that the body keep functioning.
SYSTEMS OF BODY
• There are 10 organ system in the body, which
are:-
1. Circulatory system
2. Respiratory system
3. Skeletal system
4. Muscular system
5. Digestive system
6. Excretory system
7. Reproductive system
8. Integumentary system
9. Nervous system
10.Endocrine system
1. CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
• This system is made up of the heart, blood,
blood vessel & lymphatic channel.
• It carry oxygen & nutrient to the body cells &
remove materials.
• It also carry substances called hormones,
which control body process & antibodies to
fight invading germs.
HEART
• STRUCTURE:-
• Size of your fist.
• Thick muscular wall.
• Divided in to 4 chamber:-
Upper chamber:- Atrium receive blood coming
in from veins.
Lower chamber:- Ventricle squeeze blood out in
to the arteries.
BLOOD
• It travels through blood vessels.
• Carry nutrient, water, oxygen & waste product to &
from body cells.
• It consist of liquids, solids & small amount of
oxygen & Co2.
• RBC carry oxygen from the lungs to all the cell of
the body.
• It takes Co2 & transport it back to the lungs.
• About 5000000 RBC in one drop of blood
• WBC protect body from germs.
• There are 3 kinds of blood cells in our body , those
are arteries, veins & capillaries.
2. RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
• The primary function of the respiratory system is to
supply oxygenated blood to body tissue.
• It consist of nose, larynx, trachea, diaphragm, bronchi
& lungs.
• Upper respiratory system :- nose to larynx
• Lower respiratory system:- Trachea to on wards.
FUNCTION:-
Exchange the gas between the atmosphere & blood
Homeostasis regulation of body PH
Protection from inhalation of pathogen & irritating
particles.
vocalization
3. SKELETAL SYSTEM
• It includes bones, cartilage & teeth. There are 206
bone in the human body.
• FUNCTION:-
• Protection:- it protect vital organ
• Storage:- Stores mineral & fat
• Movement:- Muscle pull bones to move
• Blood cell formation:- Make blood cells.
JOINTS:- There are three types of joints:-
1. Sliding joint
2. Ball & socket joint
3. Hinge joint
4. MUSCULAR SYSTEM
• It help in movement, stabilise joints & maintain
our posture & generate heat during activity.
3 type of muscle:-
1. Smooth muscle:- Found only in digestive tract &
blood vessel.
2. Cardiac muscle:- Only found in heart.
3. Skeletal muscle:- Muscle attach to bone.
Tendons:- connect muscle to bone
Ligaments:- connect bone to bone.
5. INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM
FUNCTION:-
• It is the first line of defence against disease.
• Helps maintain body temperature.
• Remove waste product.
PARTS:-
1. Skin
2. Sweat gland
3. Hair
4. Nails
PARTS OF SKIN:-
I. Epidermis:- Composed of epithelial tissue
II. Dermis:- composed of connective tissue containing collagen & elastic
fiber.
III. Hypodermis:- Composed of subcutaneous tissue is made of fat &
connective tissue.
6. EXCRETORY SYSTEM
FUNCTION:-
• Remove waste from blood
• Remove helpful substance from body
• Regulate body fluid & maintain homeostasis.
PARTS:-
KIDNEY:- Filter blood & remove waste.
URETER:- tube connecting kidney to bladder
BLADDER:- Stone urine
7. DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
• Take food and break it down in to nutrient for growth and
development.
PARTS:-
I. MOUTH:-Help in chewing & secrets enzymes for digestion
II. ESOPHAGUS:- It propel food from mouth to the stomach.
III. STOMACH:-Chemical digestion of food occur
IV. SMALL INTESTINE:-A narrow muscular tube where digestion
of food completed.
V. LARGE INTESTINE:- Here Na & H2O are absorbed.
VI. RECTUM:- End part of digestive system where faeces are
eliminated.
VII. LIVER:- It produce bile which help in fat digestion.
VIII.GALL BLADDER:- Stores bile which produce in liver
IX. PANCREASE:- Secrets enzymes.
8. NERVOUS SYSTEM
• It recognise & coordinate the body system responses to change
in its internal & external environment.
PARTS:-
A. Central nervous system:-
Brain:- It is control centre of body
Spinal cord:- It co-ordinate peripheral & central nervous system.
B. Peripheral nerve:- It carry message to and from the central
nervous system.
NEURONS:-
Basic unit of structure & function of nervous system. It has 3 parts
a. Cell body
b. Dendrite
c. axon
9. ENDOCRINE SYSTEM
• It control growth development & metabolism.
• GLANDS:-
I. Hypothalamus
II. Pituitary
III. Thyroid
IV. Parathyroid
V. Adrenal gland
VI. Ovaries
VII. Pancreas
VIII.testes
10. REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
• It produce reproductive cells, in female it nurtures &
protect developing embryo.
• Male reproductive Organ:-
• Penis
• Testis
• Epididymis
• Vas difference
• Urethra
• Female reproductive system:-
• Ovaries
• Fallopian tube
• Uterus
• vagina
