3. Quadcopter as UAV
• An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly
known as a drone, is an aircraft without a
human pilot aboard. UAVs are a component of
an unmanned aircraft system (UAS); which
include a UAV, a ground-based controller, and
a system of communications between the
two. The flight of UAVs may operate with
various degrees of autonomy: either under
remote control by a human operator or
autonomously by onboard computers
9. Components of quadcopter….
• A 2212 brushless motor
• Electronic speed controller (ESC)
• Cc3d flight controller
• 2200 mah Li-po battery (lithium polymer)
• Power distribution board
• RC Transmitter and Receiver
• Frame (X)
10. A2212 brushless motor
The motor we had used in our quadcopter is aA2212 brushless motor.
Ratings of a2212
Kv : 1000 RPM/V
Max. efficiency : 80%
Max. efficiency current : 4-10A (>75%)
Max. current : 13A for 60 sec.
Max. watts : 150 W
Weight : 52.7 g
Poles : 14
11. Electronic speed controller
• An electronic speed
control or ESC is
an electronic circuit with the
purpose to vary an motor's
speed, its direction and
possibly also to act as
a dynamic brake.
• The ESC used here is 30A
simonk electronic speed
controller.
• Weight: 26.5g (Included
wire, plug)
• Current Draw: 30A
Continuous
12. 2200 mah Li-po battery
• A lithium polymer
battery ( lithium-ion
polymer battery
(abbreviated as LiPo), is
a rechargeable battery
and can be used again
by charging.
13. Cc3d flight controller
A flight controller (a.k.a FC) is the brain
of the aircraft, which is basically a
circuit board that has built-in sensors
that detects orientation changes. It
also receives user commands, and
controls the motors in order to keep
the quadcopter in the air.
Here, flight controller used is cc3d
flight controller, that has build-in
sensors and control the quadcopter
balance and also performs the function
of receiving the signal from transmitter
through receiver.
14. Adavantages
• Does not require a qualified pilot.
• Can enter any environment.
• Using four rotors means that lift is generated
from four sources, thus reducing the need to
have the rotors rotate at high RPMs.
• It has high stability and high reliability.
• It is also suitable for indoor applications.
• Can be used for security purposes also.
16. Applications
• Due to the flexibility and simplicity of this
system, it can and has been used for various
purposes….
1. Can be used in agriculture.
2. Can be used in delivery.
3. Can be use in miliatry.
4. Videography.
5. Use in civil.
