experiences. We will also write personal
narratives and explore various
organizational structures for these
narratives.

 We will write responses about quotations about journeys.
Examples:

5. Introduction
 “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” is the autobiography
of Marquerite Johnson, later known as Maya Angelou. In
this memoir, she remembers a special time in her life
when she worked in her family’s store and first met Mrs.
Flowers.
 Through her vivid portrayals of events, the reader
experiences Marguerite’s insecurity, her love of family, her
church and school experiences which were so important
in her growning up.
