The document provides instructions for four primary uses of the website www.ardscoil.ie: as a calendar to book rooms, as a notice board to post notices, as a teaching resource by adding posts and files. It includes steps for adding events to Google Calendar, adding posts and files to the site, and inserting hyperlinks to YouTube videos, articles, and other useful external links. The instructions emphasize logging out of personal accounts, selecting the proper categories and notice board tag, and providing all relevant information when adding new posts or pages to the site.

11. Adding links to our posts &
pages
Every page or object that we can access on the web has a URL.
amazon.com, ardscoil.ie, ardscoil.ie/calendars or http://
www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHJzu55_zM0
We can type or copy and paste a URL into the address bar of our
browser to visit a page, or we can use HTML to set up a
HYPERLINK on our page.
12. Adding HYPERLINKS
Hyperlinks can be constructed using very simple HTML code or
by clicking a button on our Webpage software, Wordpress.
13. Hyperlinks
Every Hyperlink has an anchor and a target.
The anchor is what the webpage will display, it could be a single
dot, a word, a sentence or an image
The target is the file that the Browser, (explorer etc.) will jump to
if you click on the anchor.
The anchor and the Target are completely independent of each
other.
The Trick is to copy the URL of your target, before starting to
create your hyperlink
14. Hyperlinks
To add links
to
YOUTUBE
sites or
newspaper
articles, copy
the URL from
the address
bar and paste
into add link
