9. A strong first quarter by several manufacturers, especially the Detroit 3.
GM faltered in March.
Honda and Toyota are disappointing, we were expecting more.
The Korean juggernaut is losing some momentum.
There was no prolific sales management at the end of 2012, compared to 2011.
Some manufacturers are already blinking, other will reassess their position.
VW is surprisingly strong on the strength of the Jetta.
The market for CUV’s is expanding.
The love affair with full size pick ups is strong.
Sales of CPO vehicles are increasing for some, and softening for others.
As usual new models generate additional sales.
Focused programs/incentives generate opportunistic sales.
Lets see how the strategies get executed in the 2nd quarter.
