1. What are some of the ways to become a Critical Internet searcher?
Start with your favorite search engine such as Google. Ask a librarian
about special search engines that colleges subscribe to such as
LexusNexus or InfoTrac. Try many search engines to compare result
and see which best fits you. Use strategy when using search engines
to make what you are looking for a lot easier. Try to phrase your
search in natural language or keywords. Also vary word order in
search term. Use a search strategy such as skimming through sites to
determine their relevance and credibility. Save or bookmark your
favorite sites, you could copy and paste URL into an online notes
program.
How can you become a literacy volunteer in your community?
You could become a volunteer by donating to help the program
achieve their goal of reaching 10 million children by the year of 2015.
Donating will help build schools, purchase books, and other scholastic items
to help make teaching easier. You could also volunteer by starting a
campaign. You could run a marathon; start a basketball program, something
fun to raise money to help build libraries in Africa or Asia. This will help for

It helps make good decisions in and out of the classroom. You need to
map out the possibilities. Become familiar to the library, get to know
the librarian, have a way of contacting a librarian. SQ3R will also help
build your vocabulary, and help you concentrate better.

works. Then use the electronic catalog to locate materials. And also browse
