APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is a Permanent Excepted Service position. This is a non-
bargaining unit position.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED: This is an Excepted position that requires
active membership in a compatible skill in the Missouri Army National Guard and wear of the
military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these

DUTIES: Performs duties as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator that requires
the incumbent to analyze trends by utilizing qualitative and quantitative measures to ensure the
effective implementation of the Program. Utilizes scholastic research that encompass principles,
theories, and findings in industrial/organizational psychology, psychometrics, experimental
design/evaluation methodology, education and training technology, and cognitive psychology in
order to modify, revise, improve or create ARNG programs. Monitors strategies and objectives to
ensure they are effective, complete, comprehensive, and compatible toward achieving identified
goals. Recommends, develops, coordinates, and disseminates policies and ARNG guidelines for
administration and management of these programs to include doctrinal development. Serves as
the staff consultant on all aspects of the Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention
Program and training and is the focal point for analysis on a full spectrum of issues affecting
Soldier accession and recruitment. Serves as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program
Coordinator with the responsibility for the overall planning, developing, coordinating,
implementing, standardization and promoting of a comprehensive and effective program aimed at
the reduction of Soldier and civilian high-risk behaviors (e.g., domestic violence, drug and alcohol,
suicide, etc.). Recommends policy, procedures and methodologies to commanders to assist them
in reducing both the probability and severity of high-risk behaviors. Provides program guidance to
technical specialists involved in readiness, resiliency and retention throughout the ARNG as well
as, high-risk operational activities in order to reduce high-risk behaviors. Identifies new resilience,
prevention and intervention behavioral risk management programs needed to foster coping skills
and reduce high-risk behaviors. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
MUST SUBMIT COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS TO VERIFY THAT YOU MEET THE REQUIREMENTS

Basic Requirements:
A. Must have successfully completed a bachelor's degree that included at least 24 semester hours
in the behavior or social sciences.

B. Must have a combination of college-level education and experience that included at least 24
semester hours in the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a 4 year degree as shown in A
above.
GS-11 Specialized Experience: Must possess 36 months of specialized experience, education
or training analyzing interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of behavioral
and quality of life programs. The specialized experience must also demonstrate your ability to
3. develop detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long range implementation, administration,
and recurring evaluation of programs; research, initiate, develop, and implement resilience/risk
reduction/suicide prevention program that reduces incidents of high risk behaviors; develop,
monitor, revise, coordinate, and implement resilience training; and coordinate and implement
components of resilience training to help shape positive behaviors and successful reactions to
traumatic experiences.
