As a pharmaceutical student The standard of care for chronic HCV-infected patients is the treatment with interferon-alpha (IFN) plus ribavirin. Currently, new direct-acting antiviral (DAA) drug has showed a promising good result in curing HCV-infected patients. However, due to the more expensive in DAA treatment, the wide-scale to use this drug is limited. In this study, we provide with a mathematical model based on a systemic study of viral kinetic character in 25 HCV-infected patients and then validate the results in 151 HCV patients.
