tips made me feel
prepared for any
interview I may have,
and I was able to share
them with friends.

4. Thank You Letters
 You should always
send a thank you note
after an interview.
 Through e-mail
immediately after
 Handwritten one to be
received about a week
later

5. Typical Week
 There is NO typical week or day in the world
of PR!

6. Magazine Cover
 By creating a magazine
cover of myself, I
learned how to
creatively describe my
interests to the class.
This assignment forced
me to become creative
while still staying true to
my own self.

7. Ethics
 Just because one symbol, word, etc means
something to you, it could mean something
completely opposite to the person next to you
 Many companies have their own code of ethics for
their employees to follow.

8. Appearances Matter!
 Whether we know it,
don’t know it, like it, or
don’t like it, we are
being judged by how
we look, dress, and act.
 This is especially true
during interviews!

9. Internships
 It was stressed throughout the semester in class
and outside of class that internships are extremely
important!
 Definitely take one, if you get the chance to take
another one DO IT!

10. Resume
 Have a well written
resume, along with a
cover letter
 Show them what you
have done and are
proud of!
 I am so happy that we
got to learn about the
basic elements of a
good resume

11. Current Events
 I learned that keeping
up with current events
is extremely important
in this field. By listening
to podcasts, discussing
different news in class,
and checking out what
people were talking
about on social
mediums we learned
how it can really help
you out in your career
