This three-part film series concludes with Brotherhood, which follows Sam Peel as he deals with the consequences of a murder he committed in the previous film. Sam wants to turn his life around for his family, but is dragged back into crime when gang members shoot his brother at a club. He decides to take matters into his own hands by confronting the gang leader Daley. Their conflict culminates in a final fight where the police arrest Curtis but Sam escapes.

Synopsis: First, there was Kidulthood, then Adulthood, and now comes Noel Clarke's
last installment: Brotherhood. Sam Peel has to come face to face with his demons as
he has caused hell for a lot of people with the murder of Trevor in kidulthood.
Trevor’s uncle, Curtis, wants revenge but all Sam wants to do is turn his life around
and provide for his wife and daughter, but that’s too hard as he gets dragged back
into crime by gang members who were instructed to shoot his brother while
preforming in a club. Sam then decides to take matters in his own hand after they
find out where him and his family live by taking down the boss, Daley, who was
giving out orders. He then came to realize that Daley was helping Curtis find him so
they came to conclusion to meet and end the feud once and for all. They fought until
eventually police came to the scene and arrested Curtis, for other crimes he
committed, while he was bleeding out on the floor. Sam was able to get away.

2. Narrative: This is a Linear Narrative with binary oppositions that include: Good vs
Evil, Right vs Wrong, Strong vs Weak, Love vs Hate, Forgiveness vs Grudge. The
Enigma Code in this filmis at the very start when you see Sam’s brother get shot and
then someone throws a letter with ‘For Sam Peel’ written on it, this draws the
viewers in because at this point the we don’t know that the person shot is Sam’s
brother and we want to know what the letter says and why the he got shot so
straight away within the first five minutes of the film, us as viewers are already
thinking what’s going on and now we need to watch the rest of the film to get
answers. When we find out that the person shot was Sam’s brother and what the
letter says we then start to question what’s Sam going to about it as it was his fault
all of this happen. So this filmconstantly has us asking questions, as we want to
know the outcome of the situation.
Media Language: In this screenshot you can see a
close up of one of the gangsters faces, the viewers
would be able to tell that something bad is going to
happen as you can tell by his emotion, his face is
scrunched up as if he was angry and he has his hood
up which makes his seem more intimidating, the
lighting is low so we don’t see a clearly which gives
off a mysterious feeling. You can’t really say this is
definitely an action filmby this screenshot but it
does give off that impression.
In this shot you have a Mid-Shot which shows the
character pointing a gun towards someone with his
friend behind his shoulder staring straight. From this
screenshot the viewers can tell this is going to be an
action film as there’s going to be violence and crime,
the music playing in the background is calmsinging
from the person performing on stage and then as
soon as the gun goes off the whole mood changes
within seconds, its almost a shock to the viewers.
Representation: Londoners who’ve grown up in gangs or rough backgrounds is
what’s being represented and it could be both positive and negative. Positive
because its gives the viewers an insight on some peoples reality and negative
because what they’re doing, which is shooting someone, is clearly wrong.
