The document describes the APHIF Duval collaborative model for building local public health informatics capacity through an academic health department partnership. The model leverages the partnership between the Florida Department of Health in Duval County, the Institute for Public Health Informatics and Research, and the University of Florida's Center for Health Equity, Quality and Research. Through this partnership and various cross-cutting projects, the model aims to assess and develop the informatics infrastructure of the local health department, conduct data analyses on population health trends, and provide leadership and workforce development opportunities in clinical and public health informatics.
