4. In spring of 1932 the
real hunger blazed up
in our village. Well-
prepared brigades for
deflation of grain
acted there . They
were called "tugs“.
Those brigades took
away all products.
They killed those who
didn’t want to give

Family was consisted of ten
members. 8 children were
among them. During the time
of famine 4 children died
terribly. The cow, which had
been left from collective farm,
rescued the family. The
secret became clear for
“tugs” and they took father
into prison, where he died.
Mother had been rescuing
children by remains of cow,
grain, grass. Soon mother
died too. 3 boys and 1 girl
