I came to know regarding this competition from rediff.com The designed area is thoughtful outcome of placement of all plot areas and open spaces in synchronization. The microclimate is integral part of this plan. The planning is as per the natural characteristic of land pertaining to the topography, type of vegetation and climatic aspects of the surroundings. Instead of cutting the existing tress, they are properly maintained and nurtured.All varieties of trees from big trees to small planters with creepers and grass are seen around.Various landscape elements as pathways, fences, rock gardens, water bodies, pergolas, avenues, bridges are used appropriately in design.The space caters to need of every age group with community centers, parks, avenues, health centers thus creating a good built in environment.

1. A GREEN DREAM-’ WHISPERING WOODS HOUSING PROJECT ’ A Green dream- approachable to anyone who aspires to reach it.

2. An aesthetically constructed entrance gate leading to green avenues with lush green vegetation .A rugged,green and earthy surrounding. ENTRANCE GATE WITH A CABIN

3. The entrance through these peaceful avenues lead to the plots. Near the entrance an amenity center is provided with varied public spaces as cultural space, gymnasium and a health center surrounded by number of trees and a lawn . A lush green avenue of trees invites you to various plots and recreational areas.

4. Twittering birds and a beautiful avenue of coconut trees leading to the dream plots

5. Calm pathways and peace all around with only sounds of leaves,wind and birds. Linear coconut tree plantations leading to serene landscapes.

6. ‘ ZAPURZA’ CLUB HOUSE Simplicity reflects through every element used to design the structure. Red brick wall covered with thatch roof stands amidst of welcoming green avenues surrounded by palms

7. At the entrance of this club house stand two exquisite sculptures resembling female forms with creepers planted in it .

8. ZAPURZA’ CLUB HOUSE Each kiosk is an open structure and furnished with durable and polished cane furniture. Kiosks are surrounded by flooring of flagstones with bit of hariyali in the joints.

9. Four kiosks stand adjacent to these structures which are constructed with eco friendly and low cost materials as concrete columns covered by Mangalore tiles

10. ZAPURZA’ CLUB HOUSE-LANDSCAPING Beautiful,fragrant ,white fragipani blooms all over.Enchanting pathways with green lawns.

11. BRIDGE LINKING TWO KIOSKS A wooden bridge which is interestingly designed connects the four kiosks. It suspends over an artificially created water body

13. ZAPURZA’ CLUB HOUSE The pathways leading to kiosks and red clubhouse are unruly and planted with hariyali in between.Design suits the natural surroundings.

21. Sculptures play significant role in landscaping of the space. The name plates of various areas, sculptures of animals and birds, artificial wooden logs are aesthetically used all over.

26. ’ The theme parks such as Jurassic park, Kingfisher Park, crazy kid’s park are well developed garden areas flanked with sculpture and landscaping in relation with the theme.

27. The space really caters to the needs of every age group with community centers, parks, avenues. Health services and gymnasiums.

28. The sculpture of birds and animals are spread all around the lakes, pathways, trees,rocks giving the space an uninhibited feel of wild life.

29. A lone way with tranquility around, Twittering birds and fluttering leaves, Singing winds and a calm lagoon Will this lead me to my destination?
