i)Improving the visual appearance of images to
human viewer
ii)Preparing Images for measurement of futures
and structures present

3. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS :
There are four requirements for a general
purpose computer to process a image.

* Sufficient Computer Powering

6. Image processing of satellite data can be
primarily grouped into three categories :
i) Image Rectification and Restoration
ii) Enhancement
iii)Information extraction.
i) Image rectification is the pre-processing of
satellite data for geometric and radiometric
connections.
ii) Enhancement is applied to image data in order
to effectively display data for subsequent visual
interpretation.
iii) Information extraction is based on digital
classification and is used for generating digital
thematic map
