Rwanda is roughly the size of
Maryland.
The Ethnic make up of Rwanda is
Hutu- 90% and Tutsi 9%.
Almost 50% of the population is
under the age of 15.

2. Rwandan Before the Genocide
Rwanda was originally ruled by
Germany, following World War I,
Belgium took over the country.
Belgium used the Divide and Conquer
Method. The Belgium’s favored the
Tutsi over the Hutus and put them in
charge.
