Objectives
The School Safety Net project intends to address the need of European
school systems to prevent early school leaving
The project addresses the following four main issues which have a
relevant impact on early school leaving:
Early identification of students at risk
Integration of immigrant students
Support to students with learning disabilities
Prevention of school bullying

Activities
A. Success stories in tackling school early leaving
Results: Availability on the project portal of a collection of success
stories related to the early school leaving issue, presenting the perspectives
of all the main actors involved in the early school leaving issue
(headmasters, teachers, students and parents)
B. Collection of Teaching Resources
Results: Availability on the project portal of:
o Reviews of training and educational sources to prevent early school
leaving
o Reviews of publications on early school leaving
o Collection of guidelines for headmasters, teachers, parents, students and
policy makers
C. Collection of teachers’ experiences
Results: Availability on the project portal of a collection of teachers experiences
D. Case Scenarios
Results:
o Availability on the project portal of case scenarios on early school leaving
(starting from the real experiences and adapted to cover more exemplary and
complex challenges) with related strategies to solve them.

Schools: 35 schools are involved in the School Safety Net project contributing to the collection of the
success stories and the of the teachers experiences. School are also involved in the production of the
strategies to solve the case scenarios.
Associated Partners: a number of associated partners officially joined the project in order to
contribute to the improvement of the project impact on their target groups and to ensure the project
sustainability by continuing using the project deliverables in the next years.
