Only certain people handle eagles. Eagles are found on cliff ledges. Their habitat is North America. North America has about 70,000 eagles. An eagle’s wingspan can be up to 7 feet. An eagle’s nest is 6 feet deep. WE LOVE EAGLES!

7. Name Grade Mr. Maheu’s Class Sara Grade 1 Ms. Hathway’s class (with help from Mrs. Irvine) This is a fiction story about eagles but can you find three Bald Eagle facts in the story? At first there was a bald eagle toy. One magical night it came to life and began to move. So it went to the land that is filled with eagles. It had fun in the eagle land. Then it laid 3 eggs. After 1 month was over, the eggs began to hatch. But they were not real eagles. They didn’t cry like eagles. They don’t look brown like eagles. They didn’t fly like eagles. They couldn’t catch fish, mice or anything that eagles can catch to eat. A real eagle came and they laid more eggs. Then a lot of eggs crashed to the floor. Only one egg was not crushed. So they put the egg in their nest. One month later, the egg began to hatch. It was a real Bald Eagle. They were very happy. So they lived happy together forever. Did you learn that eagles lay up to three eggs? Most people know that adult Bald Eagles are brown with white heads but did you know that baby Bald Eagles are dark brown. England named the Bald Eagle. They are not really bald, they just have white feathers on their head. Back then they spelled it differently. The spelled it “balde”. Out of the 50 states in America, only 48 states have bald eagles. They live in high trees. It is the national symbol of America and the symbol of power and strength. The lower legs are not feathered. They have a bright golden bill too. Eagles are awesome!!!!
