1. PERSONAL SKILLS AUDIT

CREATIVITY
I have many different ideas and in order to get a clear image in my head I like to research
into them thoroughly to find out if there doable, how much effort they’re going to take, if they
will work in the end or be very problematic; all this has to be contemplated before making a
final decision. Problems always occur, the best way to overcome them is either to find the
most effective/ quickest solution or to move on with something new before you waist to much
time on something that can’t be fixed. I’m always open to knew ideas if they work and can be
very spontaneous, as long as they’re at the right time then you should definitely experiment.

ORGANISATION
It’s all about the planning, if you’ve got everything ready in advance, then there’s nothing to
say that things won’t run smoothly. New ideas and plan alterations nearly always get in the
way but these are things that develop the final piece and if you meet the main deadline, turn
up on time, follow instructions correctly then things always work out great in the end. I feel
time management is key and I should focus spending the right amount of time on each piece of
work.

TECHNICAL
When designing a creative piece of work I now use a Mac, because of this I have a continuous
developing understanding of complex programs such as; Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator
& Final Cut and these skills will all help contribute to the formation of my music video.
I have also studied photography for 4 years at both GCSE and A Level with good passing
grades; this means I have developed many different skills with digital and film SLR cameras,
lighting, composition & editing. I also own useful equipment, such as a DSLR camera (with a
variety of lenses and filters), tripods and lights.
I have organized many different photography shoots and know how to organize myself in
advance, usually you only get once chance so have you need to shoot as much as you can; too
much footage is always better than not enough.
PERSISTANCE
Working hard is key, I probably spend too much time and effort on one piece of work but if I’m
happy with it in the end, it’s done correctly, on time and looks good then I don’t think there’s
a problem. I try to put the same amount of effort in to every piece of work I do however big or
small and usually the results are successful.
