The survey summarizes findings from a 2017 survey of 145 Indonesian UX professionals regarding the state of the UX industry in Indonesia. Key findings include:
- The majority of UX practitioners are male, under 30 years old, and hold a bachelor's degree.
- User research skills are considered most important, though technical skills are also valued.
- Most practitioners have less than 3 years of experience and work in startups or agencies in Jakarta focusing on consumer electronics and internet products.
- Schools and online courses are the primary ways practitioners learn skills and the industry is still developing experienced talent.
