Power & Duties of Police

3. If the local police receives information
regarding a possibility of disruption of peace
in the area of any Gram Sabha, then except
in cases in which immediate action by the
police is mandatory, the Police Officer
concerned shall present a detailed report of
the matter to the Gram Sabha or to the
Peace Committee.

4. (1)Arbitration in such matters or preventive measures
against any person shall be taken only with the
consultation of the Gram Sabha.
(2)If necessary, an effort shall be made to resolve the
matter in the Gram Sabha's special meeting or in its
forth coming meeting.

5. (3) If any dispute arises as to the jurisdiction of a Nyaya
Panchayat or between two or more Gram Panchayat or
Nagar Panchayat or Municipality or Zila Panchayat it
shall be referred to the prescribed authority whose
decision shall be final and shall not be questioned in any
court of low

7. (a)All the records of a Gram Panchayat shall be in the
custody of its Secretary.
(b) The Secretary shall give to a person, on an application
and on payment of such fee as may be prescribed, a
copy of any such records and certify it as a true copy
under his signature and seal of the Gram Panchayat.

8. A duly certified copy of any records of a Gram
Panchayat shall be received as prima facie
evidence of the existence of the record and shall be
admitted as evidence of the matters therein
recorded in every case, where and to the same
extant as the original record would, if produced,
have been admissible to prove such matters.

In case of criminal cases if police receives information regarding such incident then immediate action for the spot dispute is taken by the police administration quiring over the matter and incident the police prepares a report and a copy of it is send to GP aur PC and matter is solved by the GP in special meeting otherwise the matter is prodused the judisioury.
