TumbleForce - Infographics
Triple your traffic with infographics
Infographics are visual ways (usually images) of expressing data. You might have seen them
floating around the web and they typically illustrate traditionally complex information regarding
social media stats, health stats, and economical statistics in a much pretty, user friendly
manner.
Studies show that infographics as a form of content also get 30% higher clickthrough rates than
traditional text based ads and are more likely to ‘go viral’. Below is a trend line depicting the rising
popularity of infographics since 2011.
Note the forecast. Increases are on the horizon, so this is the perfect content marketing medium
to get involved with before people get desensitized, or get ‘used to it’.
If you haven’t seen infographics before, take a look at a website called Visual.ly as it is a source
we will be covering throughout this document. Below I will talk about a commonly overlooked way
of marketing your niche/brand, getting followers and extending your social reach with the help of
TumbleForce and infographics.
Let’s start with..
TumbleForce.com ­ The Leader in Tumblr Automation
1. Identifying Your Niche
This sounds pretty obvious, but first find a niche you’d like to get started using infographics on
and create one Tumblr blog or account for that niche (i.e. social media infographics, or education
infographics). Generally, the most popular niches are:
Business
Social Media
Economy
Geography
Food
Computers
Health
For a full list of niches + infograprics, check Visual.ly or infogr.am. To get a better idea of how
your niche might be performing including rising keywords, look at Google Trends. I recommend
spending at least an hour researching your niche before going ahead with it. It will be worth it
once you start building traffic to your Tumblr blog.
2. Finding Your Infographics
This is the easy part. With so many options for content generation in TumbleForce, you can
search for infographics via existing Tumblr posts, Flickr, or even Pinterest (granted it’s more
detailed if you have PinPioneer as well.
But personally, what I like to do is to hand pick good infographics under my niche from Visual.ly,
then right click > copy image URL and stick them all into a .txt file. To start, I’ll usually find about
30 good infographics and either download them to my computer (if I want to watermark later) or
just copy the URLs to a .txt file and import into TumbleForce.
To import into TumbleForce, just right click on the window where your scraped items appear
then select the import option > urls:titles and select your .txt file with the URLs.
3. Setting The ‘Fine Print’ & Adding to Queue
In this section you will be adding your clickthrough/source URLs, using call to actions in your
description text and then adding all items to queue for a dripfed content marketing strategy. All
the while, liking/following people in your niche (TumbleForce supports running multiple instances
at a time).
Note: Your clickthrough URL is the web page that is navigated to when a user clicks your post
image(s).

Your source URL is the web address that is displayed underneath your post image(s). It is also
clickable. These are options also visible and settable in the posts option box, left of the
description box in TumbleForce.

If you’re promoting some kind of offer, affiliate link or web page, it’s wise to add a call to action
under your posted infographic. Tumblr (and TumbleForce) offers you the ability to use HTML in
your post descriptions. This makes it easy to create call to actions that stand out. If you know
basic HTML, you’ll know how to add colors to your text, change font size, and use underlines. If
you don’t a simple Google search will give you more than enough HTML codes to use.
Your post description should be something like:
If you like [insert your niche here], then for more [insert benefit here] check out [your url with
anchor text].
Example: If you like skateboarding, then for more awesome skateboarding tips check out we
like to skateboard here.
Adding to Queue
Once you have your list of infographic URLs imported, your post options set and your call to
TumbleForce.com ­ The Leader in Tumblr Automation
action defined,  you’ll want to add your posts to the Tumblr queue. Luckily, TumbleForce makes
this an automatic option for you.
Right click on all on the scraper box (where your URLs should be) then ‘check all’. Right click
again > select post queue > select auto­select.
The benefits of use the queue option is that once your posts added to queue, Tumblr does the
rest of the work. You can turn off your TumbleForce client and not worry about being hit by
captchas, or about your posts failed. You have a 100% success rate, and all your items will be
posted with the settings you applied earlier (description, clickthrough URL, source URL, tags
etc).
Note: You can also choose the frequency and post time for the queue posting from the ‘queue
post’ box in TumbleForce (or set it via Tumblr.com).
