The essence of working out loud is building your network based, in part, on work that you make visible. It’s the conventional wisdom about relationships combined with the power and reach of the Internet. Working out loud gives individuals greater access to learning and more opportunities, and thus more control over their career and life. It gives the firm a more open, connected culture while improving the digital literacy of its staff. But why don’t more people do it? Because, just like the need to eat well and exercise, most people don’t yet have the habit of working out loud. In this talk, you’ll learn how to spread the practice of working out loud across your firm to make work more effective and fulfilling, using resources that are freely available. The ideas are drawn from my book “Working Out Loud” (June 2015) & 100s of WOL circles.
