a mainstreamed, inclusive classroom. Mentored struggling learners with academic and social needs every
day.
• Created handouts, study guides and chapter tests that provided universal accommodations and correlated
with instruction objectives and goals. Student scores increased in mathematics with use of specialized
materials.

Conservation Week Unit. Integrated hands-on learning experiences and technology simulations where
students calculated their carbon footprint. Also took the class on a digital fieldtrip discovering the animal and

1st Grade – 280 hours of experience
• Implemented behavior management techniques to raise character quality in all students. Assisted Positive
Behavior Committee and helped implement a school-wide reward system that encouraged the entire class
to work together to be "caught being good".
• Taught small group guided reading while remaining students independently completed literacy and math
centers, which enhanced student comprehension skills and reinforced concepts previously taught.
• Designed a Cloud Web Quest unit where students researched cloud types in the computer lab and created
a summative book project that strengthened writing skills, encouraged creative art analysis and made real-
life science connections.
• Students assisted with creating a colorful 15 feet snowman bulletin board scene showcasing their artistic
talents and creative writing skills. Collaborated with class "Art Club" who helped design the snowman scene
and took great pride in their work.
