Background Industry challenges Client needs evolve rapidly, we seem to need to adjust our business model every 3 years (planning in quick changing business model) Quality engineers are difficult to find and retain (can be high turnover) As we grow, we want to maintain consistency in execution (how to make good engineers better)  Nature of service business, hard to get all employees together too often as we want to be in-front of clients (better communicate company goals/needs and stay in touch with individual activities)

Three key habits Habit 1- Establish a Meeting Rhythm This habit focuses on establishing lines of regular communication We established daily huddles for technical 9:09am and sales teams 9:46 Owners meet weekly Thurs 8:31am Accounting meets weekly Thurs 8:31am Engineers meet monthly 1st Tuesday Department Heads meet monthly                                                 2nd Tuesday  Company meets monthly 3rd Friday

Three key habits Habit 2- Understand your Critical Number  This is a metric that helps you understand your impact on a specific focus When we were concerned about trouble tickets getting completed- we focused on tickets open for more than 1 day When we were concerned about collections- we focused on DSO (Total Receivables for a period/Total Sales for a period)*Total days in period When we were concerned about production- we looked at utilization When we want to increase quality-                                               looked at usage of training time

Three key habits Habit 3- Understand your Priorities (top to bottom) This habits aims to help everyone in the organization know what they are supposed to be doing Align everyone by starting at the top and long-term,  drill down into this year and department heads and  eventually down to daily focus for each individual
