3. Carver Alan Ames
was born on 9 November 1953 in the
English town of Bedford. Despite his earlier
upbringing as a Catholic, he strayed from
the Church in no uncertain terms. His sinful
ways led him to living a wasted life of
crime, drinking and fighting.
When he was virtually in the depths of
despair, he met Kathryn, a girl from
Australia. This meeting seemed to have
changed his outlook on life. They were
married and headed for Australia to begin a
new life. Having been blessed with two
children, and finding a good job, the move
seemed to have paid off.
A few years later Alan slipped back into his
old ways and he found himself joining bad
company and picking up his old habits of
drinking and fighting.
He became addicted to alcohol and other
things. He lost respect for himself and for
others and became very self-centred.

4. Time went by and Alan was now
beginning to have nightmares and visions
of bad things happening that kept him
awake at night. Kathryn was very
concerned with his behavior and
suggested he see a priest. However, not
having been a regular churchgoer, Alan
did not take up this suggestion. In his
quest for a solution Alan found himself
going to various 'healers', but could see
that they were swindling many out of
their belongings and were doing little
that made sense or that seemed good.
This experience gave Alan an insight into
the traps that lie in wait for the unwary.
It was an angel who eventually spoke and
guided Alan in the right direction. Further
assistance came from St. Teresa of Avila,
St. Stephen and the Apostles Andrew and
Matthew. They taught him how to pray
and explained the Scriptures. Alan was
led back to the Catholic Church by
heaven.

5. Some months later, after coming back to the
Sacraments, Alan had his first vision of Our
Blessed Mother. She appeared revealing Her
Immaculate Heart. The visits of Our Lady to
Alan continued as he endeavored, with
encouragement, to lead a life of prayer. He
was now attending Mass daily and reciting
the rosary up to nine times a day.
After speaking to Archbishop Barry Hickey of
Perth, Australia, (his local bishop) about his
experiences a spiritual director Fr. Gerard
Dickinson was appointed by the Archbishop
to watch over Alan and to examine Alan’s
writings.
Fr. Dickinson at first was skeptical but soon
became Alan’s strongest supporter.
‘That he is being used by The Holy Trinity, our
Blessed Lady and the angels and saints for a
special purpose I have no doubt. My
hesitancy and skepticism have gone.’ Wrote
Fr. G. Dickinson, 15th August 1996.
After the death of Fr. Dickinson the
Archbishop appointed Fr. Richard Rutkauskas
to be his replacement.
A few months later Alan was stopped in his
tracks as he found himself giving undivided
attention to the heart warming voice, full of
love and compassion, which he immediately
recognized to be that of Jesus.

6. The Lord showed Alan the sins Alan had
committed and how they had hurt Jesus on
the cross, how they had hurt Alan’s soul and
how they had hurt others.
With his soul laid bare before him Alan just
wanted to die as he realized how he had hurt
God and others. The Lord, Jesus, with His
compassionate and merciful heart called
Alan to repent and offered Alan forgiveness.
Alan begged for forgiveness and received it
from The Lord in the sacrament of
reconciliation.
He fell in love with Jesus and promised to
serve The Lord from now on.
So began an incredible journey where Alan
by the grace of God has travelled the world
spreading the good news of Jesus’ love and
the many gifts bestowed through Alan
become evident in the healings and
conversions that occur.
