Obwohl die Kriege vorbei sind, ist die Notwendigkeit für Friedenserziehung im ehemaligenJugoslawien aktueller denn je. Die Korrespondentin für den westlichen Balkan von „Insight Conflict“ stellt das Friedenserziehungsprogramm der „Ersten Kinderbotschaft der Welt“ Megjashi vor. Megjashi wurde 1992 gegründet, ist Partnerorganisation der KURVE Wustrow und setzt sich unermüdlich für Frieden und den Schutz von Kinderrechten in Mazedonien ein.

- Assets increased to 2.99 million denars including property, plant and equipment of 548,081 denars.
- Liabilities included 1.25 million in supplier liabilities and 1.18 million in passive time appropriations.
- Revenues were 9.78 million denars while expenditures were 10.01 million resulting in a loss of 227,000 denars.

“Childhood without abuse – towards a better child protection system in Eastern Europe” – Visibility research of the campaign See it, Hear it, Say it.
First Children's Embassy in the World - Megjashi has recently conducted study on the visibility of the See it, Hear it, Say it campaign among the Macedonian society. The campaign was run all over the country between 7th November and 10th December 2008. Messages of the campaign, encouraging to report cases of child abuse, were placed on citylights and billboards. Posters and leaflets were distributed to different events and institutions. Moreover, three daily newspapers and four TV channels informed about the campaign.
To estimate the impact of the See it, Hear it, Say it campaign 202 randomly chosen inhabitants of Skopje were asked following questions:
Have you noticed the campaign?
Do you consider the campaign efficient?
Do you consider the campaign necessary?
Results show that the campaign was well received and extremely appreciated by the Macedonians. Almost 70% of the respondents were aware of the campaign. Most of them thought that goals of the campaign were met (78%) and that the campaign was a necessary effort to tackle violence against children (95%

den regulären Lehrplan aufzunehmen. Gemeinsame Anstrengung,
Expertise und Erfahrung werden
hoffentlich Früchte tragen, damit
die Einbeziehung von Friedenserziehung ins mazedonische Schulsystem am Ende als positives Beispiel
für die gesamte Region dienen kann.

LOJA
In einem ersten Kooperationsprojekt im Rahmen des Zivilen Friedensdienstes (ZFD) lernten Jugendliche zwischen 2002 und 2005 in mehrmonatigen Basiskursen in ethnisch gemischten Gruppen Grundlagen
der gewaltfreien Konflikttransformation kennen und setzten sich mit
Stereotypen und ethnischer Spaltung auseinander. Seit 2008 werden
die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen direkt an Universitäten umgesetzt und nutzbar gemacht. So soll neben der Arbeit mit Jugendlichen auch über die Arbeit mit deren (zukünftigen) LehrerInnen
auf eine friedliche Zukunft hingearbeitet werden. In den letzten Jahren
hat sich die Zusammenarbeit mit den zwei Universitäten in Tetovo,
dem Sitz von LOJA, verstetigt. Somit erscheint die Aussicht auf die
Verankerung eines universitären Curriculums aussichtsreich.

PEACE ACTION
Die Organisation PEACE ACTION in Prilep, im Süden Mazedonien,
arbeitet seit 2010 im Rahmen eines ZFD-Projektes an dem Abbau
stereotyper Sichtweisen in Mazedonien.
So interviewt das Projektteam Zeitzeugen des Konfliktjahres 2001
und dokumentiert deren Geschichten. Diese werden in der Folge in
Buchform zusammengestellt und veröffentlicht, um somit die Sichtbarkeit und die Akzeptanz marginalisierter Gruppen zu erhöhen. Daneben engagiert sich PEACE ACTION in der Arbeit mit Veteranen aller Seiten, um mit ihnen gemeinsam durch Dialog und Trainings aktiv
Versöhnung zu leben und zu leisten.

Das Centar za nenasilnu akciju (Centre for Nonviolent Action = CNA) setzt sich seit 1999 für Peacebuilding,
die Stärkung von Zivilgesellschaft, Gewaltfreiheit und grenzüberschreitende Zusammenarbeit ein. Dabei wird
die Arbeit in beiden Büros in Sarajevo und Belgrad weiterhin gemeinsam koordiniert. Im Rahmen der nun
schon über zehnjährigen Zusammenarbeit im Rahmen des ZFD ist die Arbeit mit Veteranen herauszustellen.
Diese ist in behutsamen Schritten darauf ausgerichtet, Treffen verfeindeter Gruppen zu ermöglichen, Dialog
anzustoßen und Akzeptanz für die „andere Seite“ zu fördern. Des Weiteren nutzt CNA das Mittel des Dokumentarfilms zur eindrücklichen Darstellung seiner Arbeit.
