Hillary Clinton Email Summary
Many of the views and actions of society and politics today are centered around the media, which
keeps the public well informed on current events so that the public can make educated decisions based
on the information they have accrued to make change in the functions of our society, whether small or
large. However, misinterpreted bias in mass media causes the creation and spread of misinformation to
the public, which causes members of society to have a skewed vision of what is fact and what isn t.
This can cause members of society to make decisions based on incorrect information, which affects

His audience, who seems to be the news programs and American government, is encouraged to be
honest about their reportings and dealings with each other, as the reporting of honest information that

the author uses loaded and persuasive language to appeal to American sentiment. The very first
sentence in the article states, You sure have to hand it to the Russians. This sentence introduces the
informal and sarcastic tone that is used throughout the article, as well as informs the reader that this is
not an informational piece. The reader knows all of this when they read the first sentence, and must
then decide whether or not they should continue. Often, ignorant readers will continue to read the
entirety of the piece, even though they know that the presented information will be biased and might
not even be correct. As the article continues, the author follows a slippery slope of claims, connecting
each effect back to the hypothetical cause before it. All of these events hyFor this reason, the reader is

A Career As A Forensic Accountant

Essay on Motet Development
The motet was one of the most important forms of polyphonic music from 1250 to 1750. The Italian
mottetto was originally a profane polyphonic species of music, the air, or melody, being in the Tenor
clef, taking the then acknowledged place of the canto fermo or plainchant, theme. It originated in the
13th century resulting from the practice of Pérotin and his contemporaries in Paris. The term motet
can be translated as the word of movement . Sometimes two upper voices had different words. In the
beginning, Latin texts involving topics of the Virgin Mary were used. Later, French secular pieces
became common due to the fact that the motet terminated its connection with church and liturgy.
Between the years 1390 and 1435, Dunstable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Artists used a variety of newer principles and techniques, utilizing mostly Marian texts and combining
vocal and instrumental pairs of voices. For three part song motets, Guillaume Dufay utilized a treble
dominated texture derived from the chanson which is a lyrical composition of French words. More
specifically, it is a French polyphonic song of the late Middle Ages and Renaissance. Johannes
Brasart, a Walloon like Dufay, whose name appears among the pontifical singers in 1431, composed
motets, including a four part Fortis cum quevis actio and a critically acclaimed Ave Maria . The next
generation of composers included Johannes Ockeghem and Antoine Busnois. Okeghem was a priest,
and was principal chaplain to Charles VII of France and, to Louis XI, canon and treasurer of St.
Martins at Toursbeing. His motet, Alma Redemptoris , displays much contrapuntal ingenuity, and he
also wrote a motet for thirty six voices, probably performed by six choirs of six voices each. Binchois,
a native of Flanders left some three part motets. They include Beata Dei Genitrix , but the treatment of
his works today is strictly referential, and some say that his works cannot at all be compared to the
works of Dunstable Power or Dufay. He died in 1460. Like Dufay, he was a priest and canon of Mons.
The motet built on a tenor cantus firmus became important to

Red Sky At Morning Summary
Red Sky at Morning is a book about a boy named Josh Arnold, who moves from his hometown,
Mobile, Alabama, to Corazon Sagrado, New Mexico. The story is set during World War II which
happens to be the reason for the families move. Josh goes through many things throughout the story
which makes him the man that he is at the end.
The first object I chose was a car. The car represents the families move from Alabama to New Mexico.
The family moves to New Mexico for safety during the war. Mr. Arnold leaves for the Navy soon after
their arrival in Corazon Sagrado. The move and the absence leave Mrs. Arnold lonely and depressed.
On the other hand, Josh grows from the move to Sagrado. He meets new friends and learns a lot of
important lessons.

The malt represents the new friendship between Steenie, Marcia, and Josh. The three friends often go
get malts together either for celebration or just for fun. They also go on different adventures with each
other and almost do everything together. Josh is lucky to have found such great friends in New
Mexico.
I chose a knife next because of the time when Tarzan stabbed Chango. Chango was a bully to a lot of
people, including Josh, and thought he was a real tough guy. When Tarzan stabs him it is like a wake
up call. He drops his tough guy act and even becomes a friend to Josh. Chango also becomes a
catholic, like his sister, after the stabbing.
Another item I chose was paint and a paint brush. These items represent Josh s new friend Romeo,
who is an artist. Romeo was a friend of Josh s parents and soon becomes a friend and teacher to Josh.
At the end of the story Josh finds out that Romeo even created his father out of a bolder in his
memory.
I chose a tree and cooking pans to represent Amadeo and Excilda. Even though they were servants for
the Arnold s they were also close family friends. Mrs. Arnold might not have been too fond of them
but Josh had a very close relationship with them. They were both teachers to Josh and helped in his

Comparing Males in Browning s Porphyria s Lover and My...
Controlling Males in Browning s Porphyria s Lover and My Last Duchess
The death of the female beloved is the only way deemed possible by the insecure, possessive male to
seize her undivided attention. This beloved woman represents the reflector and guarantor of male
identity. Hence, the male anxiety about the woman s independence for her liberty puts his masculine
self estimation at risk (Maxwell 29). The jealous and controlling males in Robert Browning s
Porphyria s Lover and My Last Duchess possess a fervent desire to fix and monopolize their
unconstrained female beloveds. Due to a fear of death, both speakers attempt to achieve control and
deny object loss; by turning their lovers (once subjects) into objects, ... Show more content on

Browning s romantic setting Porphyria has come to [the lover] out of a world from which he is
foreclosed implies that her darling one wish was something comparable to: I want to be with you
forever. The speaker misreads her comment in order to escape being a loved object to be abandoned
again. He states that Porphyria s feminine position is one far too weak to break the vainer ties in a
world of which he cannot be a part of. Torn between passionate possession of her and inevitable
abandonment, he has murdered her in order to turn her into a fetishistic object which can never leave
(Ingersoll 154). The lover confirms that he is in control. He is the observer; she, the silenced object.
Even God has not said a word! (60), rendered silent in the face of the narrating of this masterful
subject (Ingersoll 154). Through the power of his monologue, this lover successfully defies God and
remakes Porphyria into his own object of desire.
Like Porphyria s lover, the murderer in My Last Duchess also demands control in his relationship with
the Duchess. The Duke begins his speech by exposing the exquisite portrait of his former wife to an
initially unidentified guest. To him, this object is his wife. The language he uses in relation to the
portrait seems deliberately confused:

The Wife of Bath, The Wife of Bath Prologue, and The General Prologue
These selections from The Canterbury Tales best exemplify the ideals and traits of women (as
portrayed by Chaucer). In, The Wife of Bath Prologue, the narrator brags of her sexual exploits as well
as her prowess of controlling men. The narrator is quite forthright in her enjoyment of this
manipulation; she comments on her technique of lying and predomination of men. The General
Prologue further serves to display the daunting traits of women. The narrator makes several stabs at a
woman s appearance; and the overall effect is one of distaste and inadequacy. The tale itself, The Wife
of Bath, embodies the characteristics of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author also includes an amusing vignette of her appearance; Her head dresses were of finest
weave and ground; I dare swear that they weighed a pound…Her stockings were of the finest scarlet
red…her face…and red of hue. This humorous tone exemplifies the promiscuous nature of the
woman. The attachment of the color red especially highlights this; as it conveys a seductive and
tantalizing demeanor. The overall effect of these items allows the reader to form an image of the
woman; that she is a person of low morals and status. Her life is comprised of appealing and
manipulating the hearts of men.
The additional prologue, The Wife of Bath Prologue, is both lengthy and abound with persuasion. This
particular division of the Tale offers a glimpse into the mind of the Wife. In it, she portrays herself as a
proud woman, which has used her innumerable supply of husbands as vessels of mere social and
financial support. The performance that she displays showcases her uncaring nature as well as her
experience. The selection utilizes exemplum to properly impart this experience. This form is a short
story which is embedded into

Stalin s Impact On Russia
Stalinist Policies Set to Bring About Fruitful Changes Targeted at the Russian Society
By: Hashem Qaituqa
Under Stalin s regime, Russia is witnessing an era of rapid industrialization, and introduction of social
policies that will have a huge impact on Russian society. It is Stalin s view towards the west that
caused Russia to embark on the industrialization of the economy and military. Stalin fears that if
Russia remained agricultural, western interference might threaten it s stability in the future.
Furthermore, social policies such as compulsory education, improvements in health, and gender
equality were put and designed for the better of the nation, and to boost the morale of the people.
Stalin s View towards Western Nations
Western nations industrialized and their economies flourished. According to Stalin, if Russia did not
catch up with the race for industrialization, it will develop to become a weak country, and any western
intervention would bring about its end. Western nations have already industrialized and enjoyed a

If Russia was to become a communist state that would certainly involve massive industrialization. It is
only that that could cause a transition from the old, agrarian Russia into a more advanced,
industrialized one. As Russia industrializes, more people will move to industrial centers and will
abandon rural areas, looking for better job opportunities and standards of living. Massive industries
are key contributors to modernization. The Five Years Plan set the aims of Russia s industry, and as a
result the production of steel, coal, iron and oil would eventually increase. New factories were built,
and there were improvements in the railway system to help transport goods. Also, the military would

One of the greatest scientists of the industrial age was named Joseph Louis Gay Lussac. He was born
on December 6, 1778, in St. Leonard located in central France. His parents named Antoine Gay

the five children. Joseph Gay Lussac was born in the French Revolution, and it had greatly affected
his early childhood. Two of his greatest roles was taken away from him due to the social and political
disruption. His father was a public prosecutor and judge advocate, he however was later arrested
because he was a suspect. And his private tutor fled to another country due to the French Revolution.

Have you ever noticed that athletes wear new colours all the time? Well, recently many elite athletes
have been sporting the colour orange, orange as in prison jumpsuits, because that s where they are

professionalism.
Good evening ladies, gentlemen, adjudicators and the opposition. The topic of tonight s debate is that

These so called elite athletes are so professional , then why do we even have the need for drug testing?
If elite athletes demonstrated an acceptable standard of professionalism, then there would be no need
for this drug testing business because the athletes would be able to be trusted. As our first speaker has
stated, elite athletes have a winning mindset. This could be one of the reasons they choose to use as an
excuse for taking drugs and cheating, to be the best all the time, because that it how they were brought
up. A study shows that doping prevalence may be as high as 48%. Even before elite level they take
low level drugs such as: pre workout drugs, Anabolic steroids, Androstenedione, Human Growth
Hormone (HGH), Erythropoietin, Diuretics, Creatine and Stimulants. These drugs are so harmful, yet
so many are constantly using them. What kind of imprint is this making on our youth, the young,
impressionable minds of today, that look up to these elite athletes as their role models? This brings me
on to my next point, regarding why athletes need the good behavioural contracts to stipulate their
behaviour.
Why do elite athletes need good behavioural contracts to stipulate what they can and can t do? If their
professionalism was to an acceptable standard, then they would already know what they can and can t
do. Many of the behavioural contracts have clauses that stipulate that the elite athletes may

Analysis Of Eurydice By Sarah Ruhl
Sarah Ruhl s play, Eurydice, is a devastating story battling love, grief, life, and death. Although it is
set during the 1950 s, the play manages to encompass the ancient Greek myth of Eurydice and
Orpheus. The three most evident themes of this play are recurring death, fleeting happiness, and the
power of love. The main conflict in this play is ultimately about the painful choice that comes with
death; this is often caused by the King of the Underworld. One of the most impressive parts of this
play is the ability to change the way the play is perceived through design.
When I envision this play in my head and through my concept, I view the characters in the living
world to have bright normal costumes. For Example, I can see Eurydice in sundresses and Orpheus in
spring colored button up shirts and pants. This would represent the love and happiness they have for
each other. On the other hand, when I think about costumes in the underworld, I believe they would
need to be a little bit darker and quirky to represent the hard choices and confusion that death has
pushed upon them. I think Eurydice s father should be wearing a dark suit with a crazy tie and no
shoes. When both Eurydice and Orpheus arrive in the underworld their clothes should become darker
and more sullen. I perceive the Stones as being deceased people from different eras that have
completely forgotten who they were, and have been brainwashed by being dipped in the river and by
the King of the Underworld. To represent this, their outfits need to look extremely dull and dirty; they
should be everyday clothes from their different time periods. All three of their costumes should be torn
and drained of all color. The Lord of the Underworld needs to have multiple different costumes. In the
world of the living, he needs to be the darkest dressed; he should wear a black suit and tie. In the
underworld, I envision him wearing more of a boyish outfit, such as shorts, suspenders, and crazy
socks. When he becomes a man and grows to a superhuman high in the end, I would have him wear
tall stilts under long dress pants and wear a suit top.
The most creative part of this play is the set for both the living world and the underworld. As a

The Value Of Life Liberty And The Pursuit Of Happiness Essay
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, somethings that is this country s foundation found in the
Bill of Rights. It entitles you to your choices and the way you want to pursue your life through your

Choices, we all make them. However, all choices have a consequence whether good or bad, but we
make them and choose them. No matter the consequences, whatever we pick it is up to tolerate and

Control, People instinctively prefer high to low power positions. Similarly, it feels good when you

The apparent option of EA Inc. not using a model is not a real option; the choice is whether EA Inc.

While implicit models may provide valuable insights based on accumulated experience, they do have

Essay on The Effects of Immigration In The U.S. Economy
Introduction
Throughout history, countless millions of people left their native land and moved to a strange country
where no one knows what kind of faith lies ahead for them. The heaviest immigration worldwide took
place from the early 1800 s to the Great Depression. Most of the immigrants came from Europe and
half of them immigrated to the United States. Whatever prompted the immigrants, they were brave,
bold, and courageous men and women. They left familiar communities for a new land and a new

Some colonists came from Denmark, Finland, and what is now Ukraine. Some colonists sought
adventure in America. Others fled religious persecutions. Many are convicts transported from English
jails. But most immigrants by far hoped for economic opportunity. Many could not afford to come to
America and came as indentured servants. Such a servant signed a contract to work for a master for
four to seven years to repay the cost of the ticket. Blacks from West Africa came to the colonies
involuntarily. The first Africans were brought as indentured servants, but most blacks arrived as
slaves. West African blacks captured most of the slaves in wars and traded them for European goods.
Wars in Europe and America slowed immigration during the late 1700 s and early 1800 s. Newcomers
included Irish fleeing English rule and French escaping revolution. Congress made it illegal to bring in
slaves as of 1808. From 1830 through 1874 several states passed their own immigration laws, since
the federal government did not regulate immigration in any way until 18754. During the early 1800 s,
New York City began to replace Philadelphia as the nation s chief port of entry for immigrants. The
country s first immigration station, Castle Garden, opened in New York City in 1855. Ellis Island the
world s most famous station, operated in New York Harbor from 1892 to 19543.

Difference Between Indian And British Culture
When considering the list of acceptable movie choices narrowing it down to one was difficult; I
watched five before ultimately settling on one to use for my paper. However, as a female, daughter,
mother, and major soccer fan, watching and analyzing Bend It Like Beckham presented an intriguing
prospect. Additionally, prior to watching this film I had limited exposure to aspects of Indian and
British culture, especially as it relates to females within them, so it appealed to my fascination with
elements of sociology, or how culture influences perspectives, reactions, and expectations. As a
coming of age story about Indian girl Jesminder s desire to play soccer (or football as most of the

However, Mrs. Bhamra severely lacks the last two concepts, hearing what Jesminder says, without
actually comprehending, or listening to, what the words are expressing. During a confrontation,
shortly after discovering Jess playing football with a group of boys in the park, Mrs. Bhamra rants
about the improperness of not only this instance, but any form of playing. Since she is now older and
has played long enough, her mother does not want Jesminder running around half naked in front of
men. After all, Mrs. Bhamra wonders, what family will want a daughter in law who can run around
kicking football all day yet cannot cook a proper Punjabi meal? Not listening when Jess tries to
explain that she is good and wants to play, she instead focusing exclusively on her desires and the
shame it creates for the family when Jess is not behaving like a proper woman. These superior
attitudes and behaviors do not sustain nor improve the mother daughter relationship, instead, creating
conflict and tension between them throughout most the movie.
Further considering the seven characteristics of competent communicators, another feature
significantly deficient regarding Mrs. Bhamra s communication competence are an absence of
empathy and perspective taking. Refusing to listen to what Jess is saying, makes it impossible for her

Chinese Immigration To America
Immigration has always been a topic of controversy (now more than ever). However, many Americans
tend to forget their ancestors were all very much immigrants most migrating to America in the pre
Civil Wars days such as the Germans, Irish, and Chinese. Immigrants traveled to the United States for
many reasons. The Irish sought after a future in America after a potato famine left many families in
great poverty and suffering from starvation. The German and Chinese also came in search of a better
life, to provide for their families, and to chase after the American Dream. Many Chinese immigrated
to the U.S. due terrible famines in the 1840s, which were caused by a lack of farmland because of
overpopulation. Most Chinese immigrants were poor, hard working men, who left their families to
gain wealth from gold in California in the hopes of returning back to China. Although these men were
very hardworking (so much so that Westerners called them coolies from k u li meaning hard strength),
Americans soon became jealous of their prosperity and picked up the slogan California for Americans.
Taxes were even imposed specifically to aim at the Chinese. Life was also rough for Chinese women;
it was against Chinese tradition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fortunately for the Irish, Germans, and Chinese, their livelihoods would leave an impression on
American society sparking major political and military changes. These minorities would eventually
gain political and economic power in the nation s major cities, turning America upside down and
forever creating the unique interracial nation, which would become a haven for multitudes of
immigrants and refugees to come. The history of the 1800s immigrants will hopefully be a lesson to
today s political and civil peoples and serve as a reminder of the hardships our ancestors endured for
the possibility to achieve the American

Funeral Eulogy
As I stand here, with my hand resting on your coffin, breathing in the scent of lilies and of wood
polish, the congregation is watching and waiting. The guests file into the church with the cool,
morning, Melbourne breeze sending shivers down everyone s spines. All the other guests greeted each
other with upturned brows, watery eyes, forced smiles, and lingering embraces. The occasional person
comes up and embraces me and tells me everything is going to be okay, when they know its quite far
from it. The crowd was growing quickly as more people flowed through the front door, all of them

Ultimately, Daisy was always going to be drawn to Tom as he had been from a wealthy heritage and

egg. Daisy was superficial and money was her driving force and priority, even her voice is full of
money. She had been everywhere and seen everything and done everything but she was unaware that
money does not bring contentment. This statement reflects the easy mobility of her lifestyle and those
of the higher class. She would still give Gatsby false hope you know I love you as his rise in wealth
was appealing and could be of a benefit to her. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like Daisy, Myrtle was passionate about her husband at first, but the marriage has since been at
breaking point. While Daisy doesn t have any real desire to leave Tom, Myrtle is eager to leave, and
very dismissive of her husband I never was any more crazy about him than I was about that man there.
She makes it clear she thinks she is finally heading for bigger and better things as he wasn t fit to lick
her shoe. A glimpse of the world of wealth was enough to turn her head and create a new artificial

personality had also undergone a change. She is trying to become something that she ultimately is not.
Rather than face their problems as a couple, the Wilsons strive for dominance and supremacy within
the marriage. While George wants to move out west, he doesn t have the money, leaving him and
Myrtle in the valley of ashes and vulnerable to the dangers of the society at the time. The ashes could
symbolise their troubled relationship that they cannot see an escape from. Their downfall is their
unsteadiness within their marriage which stems from their financial situation. Fitzgerald is showing
that those who are not wealthy and are of lower classes are much more vulnerable to tragedy, which in
the end is Myrtles death. George Wilson is more humble than his wife. He seems to be satisfied and
happy with his life until he discovers that his wife is having an affair and being dishonest. His
character is comparable with Gatsby as both are dreamers and are ruined by their unrequited love.
Fitzgerald leads us to perceive the illusion that George is submissive allowing people take advantage
of him. However, another side of him is revealed after he murders Jay Gatsby. Nonetheless, unlike the
other characters he cannot live with or hide

The Food, Agriculture And Economic Situation Of Bangladesh...
ABSTRACT
This study aims to investigate the food, agriculture and economic situation of Bangladesh in some
details. Although the country faces various problems in economic progress since the independent in
1971, in the last forty five years the increase of food production, economic development and poverty
reduction of the country became remarkably. Bangladesh is a densely populated developing country in
the southern Asia. The Government of Bangladesh is trying efficiently to reduce poverty of the
country. In Bangladesh about 20% of the populations still live below the poverty line, heavily
undernourished with inadequate access to safe and nutritious food for a healthy life. The data of the
study were collected through the secondary sources of the country. In Bangladesh, during 2000 to
2005, income poverty reduced from 48.9% to 40.0% and 2010 to 2016 reduced from 31.50% to 20%.
An attempt has been taken here to show the ways to increase food production and economic
development of the country.
Key words: Poverty, food aid, inflation, GDP, subsidies in food, economic development.

Bullying And Its Effect On Children
Introduction Bullying is a kind of abuse that is acted to hurt someone , either emotionally or
physically. In early age , children repeat some actions again and again intentionally to hurt someone
and irritate other people through those actions or hit someone again and again for the same purpose. In
fact , that is bullying [Tom McIntyre (Dr Mac ) and Alexis Franks (N. D. )] . In 3 4 year olds, bullying
is considered intentional. There are three to four kinds of bullying into early age and we can identify
the signs of bullying (especially parents ), reasons of the identified signs can also be searched out by
parents, and there are some steps through which we can over come bullying because if parents don t
stop bullying into early age of their children, bullying will increase with growth of that child [Kim
Storey, Ron Slaby (2013 )] . There are too many problems of bullying, such as stereotyping, which is
one of the major issue that will occur if parents don t control their children in early childhood.
Children can also grow to hate some relations when they grow up and always see negativity in those
relations. For example, a child in his early childhood, whose name is Chris, hits his cousin Rena and
bites on her arms because she plays with his toys. Chris may carry this hate from now till the time he
grows up and by then he will only see negativity in Rena and would hate her forever. That is if his
parents don t change his perception of Rena while he s still in the early

Coke Test Lab Report
Introduction The purpose of this experiment is to show how an acid (Coke) can react together with
potassium to create a charger for an iPhone. Potassium and acid formed together makes bubbles. With
both potassium and acid working together, they will give off energy to the iPhone. Why Coke? Every
liquid will be either acidic or basic traits. An acid base reaction is a chemical reaction that happens
between an acid and a base. There are multiple definitions when considering the reaction mechanism
when solving problems. Regardless of what the problem is, it s always a known fact that when using
liquid or gaseous reactions, they become less apparent. You want to use Coke because its pH is the
acidity of the substance. For an acidity to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The banana was used as the main source in this experiment because the main objective was to find out
if a fruit could charge an iPhone without being plugged into an actual outlet. In this lab, the Coke acts
as an acid and the banana is potassium. The RCA cables were used as connectors to stick one side into
the banana and the other side in the Coke itself. The Coke can is used to basically start the chemical
reaction by the RCA cables that are put inside it which in return is still connected to the banana. Just
like plugging the cables into a television, the red cable is usually used for right analog audio (the red
goes in at the top end of the banana which is to the right) and the white cable is usually used for mono
analog audio (the white goes in at the end of the fruit which is to the left.) The team used an iPhone
because something electronic had to be used in this particular experiment to get the results that we
were looking for so an iPhone was the chosen item. The iPhone charger is used to put into the Coke
can while it is plugged into the actual iPhone to see if we get results or not; this determined whether or
not the iPhone can be charged by a fruit. If the iPhone comes on, this indicates that it is charging
through the chemical reaction and if it doesn t, this could possibly mean the chemical reaction wasn t
strong enough, something went wrong during the procedure of the actual lab, and/or an

Peace talks commenced at the village of Panmunjon and eventually concluded on July 27, 1953, with

Manatees Research Paper
Also known as the sea cow, the manatee has earned the name Gentle Giants of the Sea (Prince Groff
13). Manatees are large marine animals that breathe air. Although they may look like boulders, these
blocks of blubber are graceful swimmers. The manatee s usual diet, behavioral patterns, uncommon
habitat, and hair raising predators make manatees peculiar animals of the ocean.
This species has a typical diet. The manatee usually eats wet vegetation, making them primarily
herbivores. Manatees have occasionally been seen to eat foods other than plants. Antillean manatees
have been known to eat fish from nets and West African manatees have been to eat clams (Reynolds

nursing their young, but casually gather into herds. Manatees are non aggressive, non territorial
herbivores that spend most of their time feeding (6 8 hours per day) and resting (2 12 hours per day).
The remainder of their day is spent travelling, investigating objects, and socializing by interacting
with other manatees (Seaworld). While they are resting, they are either at the surface of the water or at
the bottom of the seabed. Occasionally, manatees can be seen participating in group activities,
including follow the leader and body surfing. The sirenia is a social and solitary animal.

These skills or behaviors are arranged in an instructional hierarchy which, when properly understood
and used, takes students to very high levels of achievement. This view has influenced the development
and nature of iSTEEP assessments. The assessments used in RTI are most frequently those which
derive from curriculum based measurement (CBM). CBM type assessments originated in Precision
Teaching (PT) with individuals such as Clay Starlin using oral reading fluency probes and phonemic
awareness probes in the late 1960 s and early 1970 s prior to the invention of CBM by Stan Deno in
the late 1970 s. The use of assessment in iSTEEP is more aligned with the original goals of PT than
with CBM as it has evolved. A major difference between PT and CBM is the manner in which
performance criteria are established used. Binder (1990) conducted an analysis of CBM and PT and
observed differences in how standards for performance (now called benchmarks) are developed and
used. PT uses performances standards. A performance standard is the level of performance for a skill
that will support retention, maintenance and application of the skill. Data are used to set performance
standards for important prerequisite skills such as phonemic awareness and oral reading fluency so
that acquisition of these tool skills leads to smooth and quick progression through a curriculum or skill
hierarchy. In contrast CBM

Abolitionist Movement Research Paper
The Abolitionist Movement was a movement that tried to end slavery in 1830 1870 (Abolitionist
Movement). Many Americans, mainly in the north, sought to emancipate slavery. Some tactics and
help to end racism and slavery included ACS, gradualism, colonization, and abolitionists. In previous
years, some religious groups brought up gradually ending slavery, but in the 1830s abolitionists took it
upon themselves to wipe it out immediately. Out of the reform groups in the 1800s, the movement to
end slavery was the most divisive. Because of the North and South disagreement on slavery, the Civil
War was in the works. The Abolitionist Movement was a revolutionary time in a nation that valued

They group established their own constitution which was based greatly on the U.S Constitution. It said
that each state was independent and guaranteed slavery in Confederate areas. It also banned the import
of slaves from outside countries and protective tariffs. The constitution also limited the president s
terms to only six years. Jefferson Davis, a former senator from Mississippi, was elected president of
the confederate States of America (The American Vision 304 307). The Civil War started because of
Lincoln s plan to resupply Fort Sumter. Davis decided he would capture Fort Sumter before the supply
could reach the area. A note was sent to the fort s commander, Major Robert Anderson, to surrender by
the morning of April 12, 1861 (The American Vision 304 307). Eventually, Confederate forces
attacked the fort for thirty three hours, but killed no one. It stopped when Anderson and his men
surrendered. This was the start of the Civil War. After this invasion, President Lincoln called for
75,000 volunteers to serve in the military for 90 days (The American Vision 304 307). This created a
problem in the Upper South. People did not want to secede but felt that was the only option left.
Virginia left first , followed by Arkansas, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Lincoln was afraid that
Maryland would secede which would cause Washington to be surrounded by Confederate territory. To
prevent this from happening, he imposed martial law in Baltimore. Martial law could allow the
military to take control, replace civilian authorities, and suspend many civil rights (The American
Vision 304 307). The war lasted for four long, tragic filled years. During these years many events

focused on the lesson. We meet after lunch so they are usually tired and ready to go home. After, we
did that I asked them to look over their push/pull charts from the previous day. I told them to reflect on
the lesson (interactive PowerPoint) from yesterday and to think about their opinions they developed. I
gave them one to two minutes to reflect and turn and talk to their neighbor. As they talked I went
around to listen in on the pairs to make sure their conversations were on task. After the two minutes
were up I asked each pair to raise their hand if they were finished discussing their opinions. I allowed
several pairs to share their opinions. I also asked the groups to provide two reasons to support their
opinion. I restated some of their answers to make sure they were providing two reasons. I also did that

But just as Ben amp; Jerry s has tried to stay true to its roots after being purchased by Unilever, Burt s
Bees is, by all accounts, still driven by its founding mission: to create natural, Earth friendly personal
care products formulated to help you maximize your well being and that of the world around you.
Only now, thanks to deep pockets and Clorox s distribution machine, it might push the industry
towards all natural even faster.
Brand identity is an important action to branding. It is what the consumers are expected to perceive a
company s product and its brand. With Brand identity, Burt s Bees could distinguish it from other
competitors, and highlight its brand and products characteristic to create and maintain the competitive
advantage.
IV. Recommendation
Burt s Bees is in the growth stage. Together with the market s strong interest in environmental
awareness today, Burt s Bees has a great potential however, it must be accompanied by great
advertisements and not just through social media.
I recommend on a rebranding strategy to increase and strengthen the brand with the long term aim of

Introduction. My Relationship Development Paper Is About
INTRODUCTION
My relationship development paper is about a girl named Breana Young; our friendship was for about
3 years. The current stage is terminated.
INITIATING
I had first met Breana in the fifth grade; although we weren t in the same class, I had met her at recess.
The elementary school we went to was pretty small so everyone in the same grade nearly knew
everyone. We would occasionally make awkward eye contact but never have actual conversation. Fast
forward to the eighth grade, Breana was friends with an old friend of mine named Nina, so I was
seeing her more and more often. Now that Nina and Breana had become friends, Breana would
sometimes eat lunch with Nina and I. She seemed pretty cool; I didn t know her very well so ... Show

because we usually only spoke in school or texted each other about school work. During the
conversation we were discussing the upcoming homecoming dance and we began to talk about our
family dynamic and what our home life is like. As we were on the phone Breana asked me to join her
at Eleanor Roosevelt s homecoming football game, this was the first time we had ever hung out with
each other outside of school. After the game her mom picked us up, this was the first time I had ever
met her; after her mom picked us up we had gone to her aunt s house where I had met more of her
family.
According to Johari s window the open box has grown larger because we are now exchanging
personal information and more details about each other. The hidden box is still there because I m not
fully comfortable with her yet and haven t spent much time with her outside of school. The blind box
exists because it contains Breana s first impression about me and other feelings about me that I m
unaware of.
INTENSIFYING
As my junior year was coming to an end I realized that I made a new friend, Breana. It was to my
surprise because I had a

His audience, who seems to be the news programs and American government, is encouraged to be honest about their reportings and dealings with each other, as the reporting of honest information that is not misleading will undermine the plan of the Russians. Bias is heavily inserted into this article, as the author uses loaded and persuasive language to appeal to American sentiment. The very first sentence in the article states, You sure have to hand it to the Russians. This sentence introduces the informal and sarcastic tone that is used throughout the article, as well as informs the reader that this is not an informational piece. The reader knows all of this when they read the first sentence, and must then decide whether or not they should continue. Often, ignorant readers will continue to read the entirety of the piece, even though they know that the presented information will be biased and might not even be correct. As the article continues, the author follows a slippery slope of claims, connecting each effect back to the hypothetical cause before it. • 6. Essay on Motet Development The motet was one of the most important forms of polyphonic music from 1250 to 1750. The Italian mottetto was originally a profane polyphonic species of music, the air, or melody, being in the Tenor clef, taking the then acknowledged place of the canto fermo or plainchant, theme. It originated in the 13th century resulting from the practice of Pérotin and his contemporaries in Paris. The term motet can be translated as the word of movement . Sometimes two upper voices had different words. In the beginning, Latin texts involving topics of the Virgin Mary were used. Later, French secular pieces became common due to the fact that the motet terminated its connection with church and liturgy. Between the years 1390 and 1435, Dunstable ... For three part song motets, Guillaume Dufay utilized a treble dominated texture derived from the chanson which is a lyrical composition of French words. More specifically, it is a French polyphonic song of the late Middle Ages and Renaissance. Johannes Brasart, a Walloon like Dufay, whose name appears among the pontifical singers in 1431, composed motets, including a four part Fortis cum quevis actio and a critically acclaimed Ave Maria . The next generation of composers included Johannes Ockeghem and Antoine Busnois. Okeghem was a priest, and was principal chaplain to Charles VII of France and, to Louis XI, canon and treasurer of St. Martins at Toursbeing. His motet, Alma Redemptoris , displays much contrapuntal ingenuity, and he also wrote a motet for thirty six voices, probably performed by six choirs of six voices each. Binchois, a native of Flanders left some three part motets. They include Beata Dei Genitrix , but the treatment of his works today is strictly referential, and some say that his works cannot at all be compared to the works of Dunstable Power or Dufay. Controlling Males in Browning s Porphyria s Lover and My Last Duchess The death of the female beloved is the only way deemed possible by the insecure, possessive male to seize her undivided attention. This beloved woman represents the reflector and guarantor of male identity. Hence, the male anxiety about the woman s independence for her liberty puts his masculine self estimation at risk (Maxwell 29). The jealous and controlling males in Robert Browning s Porphyria s Lover and My Last Duchess possess a fervent desire to fix and monopolize their unconstrained female beloveds. He states that Porphyria s feminine position is one far too weak to break the vainer ties in a world of which he cannot be a part of. Torn between passionate possession of her and inevitable abandonment, he has murdered her in order to turn her into a fetishistic object which can never leave (Ingersoll 154). The lover confirms that he is in control. He is the observer; she, the silenced object. Even God has not said a word! • 13. Analysis Of Eurydice By Sarah Ruhl Sarah Ruhl s play, Eurydice, is a devastating story battling love, grief, life, and death. Although it is set during the 1950 s, the play manages to encompass the ancient Greek myth of Eurydice and Orpheus. The three most evident themes of this play are recurring death, fleeting happiness, and the power of love. The main conflict in this play is ultimately about the painful choice that comes with death; this is often caused by the King of the Underworld. One of the most impressive parts of this play is the ability to change the way the play is perceived through design. When I envision this play in my head and through my concept, I view the characters in the living world to have bright normal costumes. For Example, I can see Eurydice in sundresses and Orpheus in spring colored button up shirts and pants. This would represent the love and happiness they have for each other. On the other hand, when I think about costumes in the underworld, I believe they would need to be a little bit darker and quirky to represent the hard choices and confusion that death has pushed upon them. I think Eurydice s father should be wearing a dark suit with a crazy tie and no shoes. When both Eurydice and Orpheus arrive in the underworld their clothes should become darker and more sullen. I perceive the Stones as being deceased people from different eras that have completely forgotten who they were, and have been brainwashed by being dipped in the river and by the King of the Underworld. To represent this, their outfits need to look extremely dull and dirty; they should be everyday clothes from their different time periods. All three of their costumes should be torn and drained of all color. The Lord of the Underworld needs to have multiple different costumes. In the world of the living, he needs to be the darkest dressed; he should wear a black suit and tie. In the underworld, I envision him wearing more of a boyish outfit, such as shorts, suspenders, and crazy socks. When he becomes a man and grows to a superhuman high in the end, I would have him wear tall stilts under long dress pants and wear a suit top. The most creative part of this play is the set for both the living world and the underworld. As a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many Chinese immigrated to the U.S. due terrible famines in the 1840s, which were caused by a lack of farmland because of overpopulation. Most Chinese immigrants were poor, hard working men, who left their families to gain wealth from gold in California in the hopes of returning back to China. Although these men were very hardworking (so much so that Westerners called them coolies from k u li meaning hard strength), Americans soon became jealous of their prosperity and picked up the slogan California for Americans. Taxes were even imposed specifically to aim at the Chinese. Life was also rough for Chinese women; it was against Chinese tradition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ultimately, Daisy was always going to be drawn to Tom as he had been from a wealthy heritage and lives in East egg in an upmarket residence, unlike Gatsby who was of new money and lived in West egg. Daisy was superficial and money was her driving force and priority, even her voice is full of money. She had been everywhere and seen everything and done everything but she was unaware that money does not bring contentment. In early age , children repeat some actions again and again intentionally to hurt someone and irritate other people through those actions or hit someone again and again for the same purpose. In fact , that is bullying [Tom McIntyre (Dr Mac ) and Alexis Franks (N. D. )] . In 3 4 year olds, bullying is considered intentional. There are three to four kinds of bullying into early age and we can identify the signs of bullying (especially parents ), reasons of the identified signs can also be searched out by parents, and there are some steps through which we can over come bullying because if parents don t stop bullying into early age of their children, bullying will increase with growth of that child [Kim Storey, Ron Slaby (2013 )] . There are too many problems of bullying, such as stereotyping, which is one of the major issue that will occur if parents don t control their children in early childhood. Children can also grow to hate some relations when they grow up and always see negativity in those relations. For example, a child in his early childhood, whose name is Chris, hits his cousin Rena and bites on her arms because she plays with his toys. The banana was used as the main source in this experiment because the main objective was to find out if a fruit could charge an iPhone without being plugged into an actual outlet. In this lab, the Coke acts as an acid and the banana is potassium. The RCA cables were used as connectors to stick one side into the banana and the other side in the Coke itself. The Coke can is used to basically start the chemical reaction by the RCA cables that are put inside it which in return is still connected to the banana. Just like plugging the cables into a television, the red cable is usually used for right analog audio (the red goes in at the top end of the banana which is to the right) and the white cable is usually used for mono analog audio (the white goes in at the end of the fruit which is to the left.) The team used an iPhone because something electronic had to be used in this particular experiment to get the results that we were looking for so an iPhone was the chosen item. The iPhone charger is used to put into the Coke can while it is plugged into the actual iPhone to see if we get results or not; this determined whether or not the iPhone can be charged by a fruit. If the iPhone comes on, this indicates that it is charging through the chemical reaction and if it doesn t, this could possibly mean the chemical reaction wasn t strong enough, something went wrong during the procedure of the actual lab, and/or an ... These skills or behaviors are arranged in an instructional hierarchy which, when properly understood and used, takes students to very high levels of achievement. This view has influenced the development and nature of iSTEEP assessments. The assessments used in RTI are most frequently those which derive from curriculum based measurement (CBM). CBM type assessments originated in Precision Teaching (PT) with individuals such as Clay Starlin using oral reading fluency probes and phonemic awareness probes in the late 1960 s and early 1970 s prior to the invention of CBM by Stan Deno in the late 1970 s. The use of assessment in iSTEEP is more aligned with the original goals of PT than with CBM as it has evolved. A major difference between PT and CBM is the manner in which performance criteria are established used. Binder (1990) conducted an analysis of CBM and PT and observed differences in how standards for performance (now called benchmarks) are developed and used. PT uses performances standards. A performance standard is the level of performance for a skill that will support retention, maintenance and application of the skill.
